Yeah, raw guy but with tons of potential. Maybe a euro version of Anthony Davis.

Hope he beefs up his frame and works on inside moves. It should help his stock go higher next year.

I don't like players like this overly. Unless you are dirk nowitski or Tiago Splitter or tony parker. A lot of these players don't translate well to winning basketball in the nba. Skinny. Plays an odd brand of basketball. Some of them are good though. Bargnani was hyped and didn't pan out. Ricky Rubio I think is the last euro I liked and he's t urning out pretty good but still has his struggles.
Portzingis may end up being one of the good ones. Pau Gasol was one. Usually the Celtics get in the sweepstakes for the guys who are actually good. They wanted Dirk and Pau Gasol at the time. He could be one of those guys. He could be another Danny ferry selection at this point.
Saric is one of these guys. Kirelenko did well but stuggled with injuries. Ginobli. There are some that do well. There are some that aren't that great. He's a big man that likes to score and block shots at this point. I'm not sure I see Dirk Nowitski there yet though.
His frame is really skinny right now. Almost Shawn Bradley skinny. He also struggles shooting the ball for aguy who likes to score so much.

People are saying he's the next anthony davis. Maybe so but davis you could see it. Same with Dirk and Gasol. Those guys you could see it. Portzingis is still very skinny at this point. Makes me wonder why he pulled out of the draft. If a guy is dirk nowitski makes me think someone would have drafted him.

it's probably in his best interest to continue to play overseas adn get stronger. I don't think I see Anthony davis's upside with him either. Might be a poor mans version. Maybe Joakim Noah or someone like that. But Porzingis seems to want to score quite a bit.
I remember reading a while back that ainge was out scouting all these big men and was quoted as saying the guy he liked was jusef kurkic who is much more physical and polished as a player. I don't overly see it with porzingis. I also don't see Dirk Nowitski. Kurkic isn't that either.
Saric, Kurkic, and Porzingis were all eligible for this draft and Porzingis pulled out. I'm not sure what happened to to Kurkic. I don't think any of these guys are dirk though or sabonis who kurkic was being compared to. Could be good players though potentially.
