Do you think a trade is needed, due to PT. Do you move a player to the NBDL? What do you do? I move TA. We could package him in a deal, to make room. I like what I hear about JRs D and some O, same goes for RGs O and some D. PP and RD are here for now. BS and DW play other positions that might be key, if others get injured. It was slow...My fake...

allen to me is a core player Chicago and an injury might be his down-fall. Not that I like that. I want him to be a stud, just like the rest of the C's. He's no different than Bynum, at this point, fighting for a spot.

i disagree with you here. allen is pretty far ahead of bynum. he shouldn't worry about roster spot one bit

I agree with BC. Bynum has yet to make a regular season roster, while TA was scoring 17 in the rookie all-star game, and worked his way into our starting lineup.
Frankly, I wouldn't trade anyone right now. Three preseason games is not enough to convince me Reed and/or Gomes have moved ahead of Allen on the depth chart. Plus Allen's trade value is down due to his injury. You need to wait for him to come back and look good on the court before being able to trade him for full value.

The way I would rate them is:
Pierce Ricky Gomes Tony Reed Gerald
Its sort of a toss up between Gomes and Allen, but overall, I feel Gomes is a better scorer and his rebounding makes him quite valuable. But Allen's slashing ability and ball handling make him pretty valuable in my book, too. I like both and Ainge needs to hold onto both of them.
Gerald down the line can leap frog over every one of them. So that leaves Justin Reed as the guy at the totem poll, and that just goes to show you how incredibly deep we are at the wing positions. Justin Reed is capable of being a 6th man on many teams. On our team, he's the 6th best wing man (once Gerald Green moves up). C17, don't take that as a knock against Reed--I actually like the guy, moreso than last year.

Let's see how things pan out during the regular season. All of our wing players have something to contribute to the team.
