Green is wearing out his welcome, and Hayward has been linked to us ever since Brad Stevens came aboard.
Question is, will Hayward be a better fit at SF than Jeff Green?

Good question. Both are fairly similar players. Both tall, athletic wings that can shoot from the outside. Hayward is a better playmaker on D, while Green is probably still slightly better at man to man D (though Hayward is no slouch). Hayward is a much better passer/playmaker than Green is. Green's size and strength allow to play the stretch 4 position.
It's pretty close. A lot of it has to come down to how much Hayward gets paid this off-season.

I'm a Hayward fan comparing him and Green is a little tough. Though Hayward is 6'8" he plays a lot of SG.
Hayward 16.2 ppg 5.2 apg 5.1 rpg .5 bpg 1.4 spg 413 fg% 304 3p% Green 16.9 ppg 1.7 apg 4.6 rpg .6 bpg .7 spg 412 fg% 341 3p%
Green turns 28 in August while Hayward just turned 24. I'm curious to see what Hayward will get paid this season. He should be in line for a payday of 10-12 million a year. We need to move Green if we where to get Hayward. Would Bradley and Green work for Hayward? It does for me I just don't know if it's realistic. Seems like Jazz would get a couple of players they could use.

If Hayward isasking for 10 mil, I'm not sure I'd endorse going after him. Is that the going price for a starting SF these days?
Between Jeff and Gordon, what I'd compare is not necessarily just the numbers, but how well they fit in with Brad's system. Without knowing the metrics (analytics, or whatever you want to call it), I would think that Hayward pays attention to detail and executes the game plan better than Green, only because he probably earned Brad's approval at Butler.

Green at 25 years old and coming off heart surgery got a 4 year 36 million deal. Unfortunately I think Utah will do everything they can do to keep him.

Nateval brings up a good point. I believe Hayward is a restricted free agent, so if anyone wants to get Hayward via free agency, they're gonna have to overpay, because Utah will match any reasonable offer.

Hayward shot 41% from the FG, and 30% from 3-pt as a SG.
