I'm willing to use the 18th pick on Glenn Robinson III with the Brooklyn pick.
This kid hasn't made good on his potential so far at Michigan. Last year he played second fiddle to Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr, and this past year he played alongside of another standout player (Nik Stauskas). But still, he shows the ability to be a stud and with his tools he should be making more of an impact.
I feel like he's as good of a breakout player candidate at 18 as any other.

I'm still a true believer on getting Stauskas with that pick. If we've got to trade up to get him, so be it.

I would pass on Robinson I think better prospects will be available when we pick. Fresh I'm with you Stauskas would be a great pick here I just don't think he will still be on the board.

I watched a lot of Michigan this year for various reasons, and Stauskas in particular because he's Lithuanaian. It pains me to say it, but I don't think he has even a fraction of the athleticism needed to excel in this league. I think Jimmer would run circles around him. Jimmer gets you a 20 point night every once in a while. Nick is nothing like that. And I'm not sure either could play any defense whatsoever.
I think with this draft we need to be think elite recruit type guys like Rodney Hood and James Young. Not the guys that just happened to emerge because they have an outside shot.

James Young and Rodney Hood will probably be long gone by the time 18 rolls around.
Think you are a little too hard on Stauskas -- his athleticism is on par with an early 30's Ray Allen.

Ray played some pretty good defense from time to time in his early 30s and I think his athleticism would have shown through more in the college world. I agree Ray wasn't a high flyer at that point, but he could keep guys in front of him here and there. I don't see any way on Earth Stauskas will be able to keep a lot of NBA guys in front of him. Nick isn't even big for a sg.

Crazy talk. That's what this is. Stauskas is by no means an athletic freak, but I think he'll be just fine in the pros. He'll prolly guard the lesser of the two swingmen when he's on the court, and he'll handle that fine.

He's 6ft 5 so right off the bat he's small and he's pretty skinny too. He's only 2 pounds heavier than Dante Exum. He's only 4 pounds heavier than Rondo. So he's small, skinny, and unexplosive. A healthy Avery Bradley would eat him alive and spit out his bones.

6'5" is hardly small for a shooting guard.

And with the new league rules on hand checking, you don't necessarily need a hulking body as a wing player.

6'5" is hardly small for a shooting guard. I was thinking the same thing, rondo is one of the best rebounding guards. I know he prob has good technique, but I would say that his height helps. Niki buckets will be a solid player. Anyone can get drafted by the wrong team and end up like Jimmer or Morrison, on a team that can't develop players.

I have always thought Adam's issue was his major injury, but he had many chances too.

Rondo rebounds extremely well for a PG, because he has freakish wing span, and very large hands. Jimmer, and Morrison's skills didn't translate to the NBA. They were volume shooters in college, who played no defense.

How would he even handle Jeremy Lamb, let alone Beal or Paul George.

JImmer and Morrison are both white and lack nba level talent. I liked Morrison coming out though. Seems like he had that kirelenko, noah mindset of just playing hard. I though Morrison because of his motor would become better defensively but he didn't have the athleticism or mindset to defend in the nba. I thought he could be a scorer and defender at the nba level because of his motor. Never happened. this is kind of funny though www.nbadraft.net/players/adam-morrisonStrengths: A special talent ... Old school right down to the stripes on the socks ... Like a coach on the floor ... Incredibly competitive ... The game comes very easily to him ... A great player in the half court ... Can create offense for himself or others ... Really excels with the ball in his hands at the top of the key ... Very good scorer with complete offensive repertoire ... Effortless shooting stroke ... Has great anticipation and basketball understanding ... Great intangibles, competes and inspires others to play hard ... Hard worker ... Plays with great intensity and aggressiveness ... Fundamentally solid, does all the little things to help his team win ... A true competitor. Will not back down from anyone ... Wants to take the big shot ... Sees the floor well, and is creative finding teammates for baskets ... Catches and shoots, or can shoot on the move ... Great at moving without the ball ... Finds a way to score against better athletes ... Great leadership ability ... It's kind of hard to take advantage of your leadership ability when your talent level leaves you as the 12th best player on a team. Dude was rated a 96 by nbadraft.net though. That goes to show you people don't know (censored). Hype. Wiggins is rated a 91 i think just for comparison's sake.
