Download it at the link (~80mb) and decompress it with winRAR to play as a normal video. www.rarlab.com/download.htm^^^ download winrar 3.51 if you don't have it. If you missed the game or would just like to bask in thyne glory of our 2nd rounders, this is a must d/l. i agree with greenblood on Blount. he looked great offensively. if he had ANY hands, he could average 13-15 ppg. If he could at least rebound halfway decent, he'd be earning his check.
This is why he'll be much better off the bench. When he's playing with energy and feeling good about himself, he turns into a fairly decent scorer because of his midrange shot. We'll need scoring from the C/PF slot off the bench because Perkins isn't showing any signs, right now, of being able to score consistently.
Raef and Jefferson are probably the starting frontcourt during the regular season, which puts Perkins and Blount on the second team. This could be a good combination of rebounding/defense from Perkins and scoring from Blount. Much like how Gomes is the rebounder/scorer and Reed is the defensive player. Second team is rounding out to being a strong suit again.
I'm scratching my head about last night's game vs. the Raptors. I'd like to know what combination of players Rivers was using during the 1st and 3rd quarter of the game? We struggled scoring in those quarters (20 pts in the 1st, and 19 in the 3rd--compared to 35 and 33 pts in the 2nd and 4th quarters). Seems like we came off slowly at the start of the game and at the start of the second half of the game. The only difference in the starting lineup from the first and second game was Dan Dickau, instead of Delonte West, starting at the PG spot. I'm not speculating that Delonte makes our 1st team run smoother, but we outta keep an eye out for what combination of players works best.
Glad to see Perkins producing those rebounding numbers. This is the type of numbers you'd expect to see from a guy averaging 30 minutes a game. He's only averaging 22 minutes a game and he's pulling down 8.5 rpg. That's efficiency. He'll really add strength and rebounding muscle off the bench. We are rebounding much better as a team, and the scary thing is we'll only get much better when Jefferson returns and as the young players start developing.
What is up with our TO's?!! Blount and Scalabrine had 5 each, and Perkins and Ricky had 4. As a team, we had 25. That's an astronimically high amount.

... managed to see it finally.
what can i say - gomes and reed are players. bynum will probably be cut pretty soon. orien has a chance in the long run scalabrine - well i think those jumpers should fall in the near future. it's evident the guy is pretty confident in his shot.

thanks for that link to the shooting chart. Looks to me as though most of Blount's shots were in the paint. Almost all from withint 10 feet. That's where they ought to be.
One reason time may not add up is that PP and Ricky both played PG some.
After all the poor drafts throughout the years, DA is going to wind up with 3 #2 picks on the squad at the same time. Maybe picking up a 2 is worth doing..
The number of assists last night (20) wasn't bad, considering that the 2 returning guards---Banks andwhatshisface---didn't play, and only a PG who has just joined the team and 2 rookies did.
I may find the number of TOs more bothersome than any stat.
Anyone think that Allen's injury may cost him not only a slot in the rotation, but maybe even on the roster? His inconsistency in mental concentration may prove to be a limiting thing.

See what happens when we get older? ;D 3- Yes I do... I think it might be best to move him before long. We are DEEP at his position and Reed can play the D... If Justin can play defense against 2's, we can trade TA, IMO.

Yeah, so do I. RR, you are a UCONN fan, right? I can't remember if it was you or someone else who I used to talk UCONN basketball with.
Charlie Villanueva has a lot to fill out and become more coordinated, but the potential is there.

The raptors game has been the only pre-season game ive been able to see. Has Gomes looked as good in the games as he did Fri night? IMO, hes gonna have the best rookie season for a C since Pierce. He's going to have to prove me wrong on defense, but if nothing else, hes gonna be a lethal weapon off the bench for most of his career.

Derren - yes, I am avid UCONN fan. Solid game for Charlie V. Not sure this will be the norm, but a great start.

He's not as perimeter as Pierce and Pierce doesn't play near the basket as Gomes, but they have similarities in their games. RR, who's going to be the starting PG for Jim Calhoun? Last I read, both Marcus Williams and AJ Price are in trouble for stealing computers. Has anything been solved?
