Eastern squad Paul George, Terrence Ross, John Wall
vs
Western squad Harrison Barnes, Damian Lillard, Ben McLemore
Who do you anticipate will win this year's dunk contest?

Eastern Squad...They have all the players I'm excited to see dunk...I really don't understand why they changed it up this year...All they need is a good lineup of dunkers and it'll generate interest...I think Paul George and John Wall could generate the interest without a gimmicky setup.

I'm leaning toward Paul George and John Wall as well. Both are bigger names, and both have pulled of some incredible in-game dunks.

Not sure why Harrison Barnes is in there. Never looked to me to be a flashy dunker.
Yup, George and Wall should steal the show.

I know that he had a pretty stellar vertical at his pre-draft camp. But you're right, I don't remember any spectacular in-game dunks from him.

Terrence Ross is not too bad of a choice either. Had a pretty good dunk on Faried during the season.
I think the Eastern squad has the top 3 dunkers on their team. All 3 guys on the West to me are a bit underwhelming...Hopefully, they'll surprise me.

Pretty disappointed with the contest this year. Thought the new format was pretty bad. Seemed like there were less dunks than normal as the freestyle round seemed like a warm-up drill. I didn't know that it would end with only one "team" winning. I was hoping they'd let the 3 guys from the East battle it out for first with another round. I thought John Wall had the only really good dunk in the single round.

Yup, I didn't like it at all. Took the family out to dinner before the dunk contest ended and didn't bother recording it.
Again, what was Harrison Barnes in the contest for?

I really liked Wall grabbing the ball from the mascot, then jumping over him. I kept on thinking he missed timed the dunk too.

the dunkers were better this year, the concept was not. wonder who came up with the stupid idea to do it in teams.

I agree. I didn't even watch it and lost interest when i heard it was done as teams. The allstar game has been reserved for the individual. Especially the slam dunk contest. It's about the best dunker. That's the whole fun of it.
Media/marketing planners overthinking things that don't understand the game and are like this would be neat and cool when it's not.

I didn't get to see it but I haven't heard one good thing about the format yet. I think we a reaching a point where we've pretty much seen all the dunks we're gonna see, so it's never going to be the event that it once was, and the league needs to realize that. Just keep it simple, keep getting a few bigger names to participate, and I would think it should survive for quite some time.

The dunk contest is always still the best part of allstar weekend minus the actual game imo. They do need to figure out a way to get better participants though. It needs to be kept as individual dunkers.

Did we have anyone in the all-star game last year? If so, this will be the first time in quite a while we aren't represented in the big game.

Rondo was supposed to be the starter for the east but got hurt. KG was there. That was it i think. Rondo kind of quietly came back this year. No votes nothing. Probably for the best. We didn't want him playing in that.
