The Niners have everything a championship team needs -- everything except a championship caliber QB.
Colin Kaepernik just isn't one. He's got a cannon, he's got speed, but it takes more than that to be a championship QB.
It's kind of like the NBA and the gold medal player -- without one, you are betting against the odds of winning a championship. In the NFL, if you don't have an elite QB, you come up short like the Niners (3 years in a row they come up short).
Great QB's come up with huge plays in the most crucial parts of the game. I don't think Kaepernik can.

CK is still quite raw in terms of his development as a QB. He was easy to read and predictable. Yeah he broke off a few runs but when hes asked to pass, far too often he doesnt complete his reads and simply allows his eyes to follow his intended target. But truth be told..officiating kinda ruined that game.

Yes, there were calls that helped the Seahawks. But there were holds that the Niners weren't called for too.
But it all comes down to QB play. That's the common denominator of almost every Superbowl champ.

Nah too easy to say its all down to the QB. I'd say its more of having the right people make the right plays at the right time. For example, if Champ Bailey grabbed 3 INTs and won the SB, then I'd give him the MVP over Manning. If Marshawn Lynch rushed for 200 yards and 2 TDs, he gets the MVP over Wilson. Football is too much of a team game to ever have it rely solely on one person. Basketball on the other hand with just 5 guys on the court can have one guy carry a team if the rest of his teammates aren't complete rubbish.

Defense keeps you in the game, but generally its the offense that will win games (unless you are returning interceptions for TD's).
Manning(s), Brady, Rottenburger, Rogers, Favre, just to name a few over the last decade.

I'm not that harsh on Kaepernik yet...He's had a pretty successful career so far and I don't see it going downhill yet...granted, he's had a great team to work with...There's no doubt that Kaepernik is the not that great at playing the "pocket QB", but I love his intangibles and arm strength...I think he'll get a ring in his career.
