They brought in Dwight Howard to contend for titles with James Harden. They are a good team, but they don't look elite. They've got to beef up their roster because its not enough to beat the Spurs or Thunder.
They need another scoring threat, and I wonder if Lin is the right PG for them.

Haha DM knowing you, I bet you have a few trade ideas in mind between the Cs and Rockets. And we do actually have attractive pieces we can offer them. I'm sure they could be interested in Bass who used to play alongside Howard in Orlando. Perhaps Green as well as a scoring option? Although they do have the inexpensive and productive Parsons.

I agree DM. That's why I can't blame the Rockets for being too hasty on trading Asik. They don't have a lot of tradable assets, so they need to make sure they get maximum value for the ones they have.

I would still like to get Asik. I think he would fit well here. It's mchale and danny. You'd think they would be able to help each other out. Who are the best defensive centers in the league that might be available outside of Asik?
We could also send them Crawford and try to get Beverly from them. I would consider sending them Green and Crawford for that if we get to keep our picks and maybe improve our draft position somehow or dump a contract somewhere..

Asik has had a lingering injury issue where his knee swelling wont seem to go down. It is a worrying injury for a big man definitely.
I think the Rockets would be most interested in a PF/C big man who can either start next to Dwight or relieve Dwight off the bench...something they thought Asik would do.

Morey probably thought he would have a bunch of suitors lining up with trade proposals for Asik when he issued that trade deadline. When little offers were made, and the supposed best offer was Bass and Lee, Morey took the deadline off the table.
Honestly, the Rockets have little trade assets that I'm interested in. Asik is nice, but not someone who I'm excited about. I'd endorse Asik in exchange for Bass and Lee, and I'd try to get them to include Isaiah Canaan, whom I liked in the draft.
I think they'd be better with Jeff Green, but again they don't have much to offer, and maybe Ainge can get more for Green from some other team.

Asik is starting to sound like Raef Lafrentz all over again with the knee swelling. I would say no thanks if he is an injury waiting to happen. I don't think we are in full sell tank mode yet although that last game the way Crawford was chucking up shots it seemed like it.
The thing to me is crawford is a similar prospect to Beverly and fits our team better if we would concentrate on winning games.
