Doc mentions in today's Globe that he'll be using a makeshift lineup with Jefferson and Tony Allen out with injuries. This is how it'll look:
C- Raef PF- Perkins or Blount SF- Pierce SG- Ricky PG- Delonte or Dickau
Nothing out of the ordinary. I'd like to see Perkins in the starting lineup to see how much he's improved. Jefferson's minor injury may be a blessing in disguise for Perkins because now he'll get a shot to prove his game.

Perks would be interesting to see at the 4.

The Perk at pf and Raef at C seems very counter intuitive to me. I think it will be in name only. Or maybe for defensive purposes only.

Rivers must like Gomes coming off the bench for him to insert Ricky in the starting rotation. He liked Ricky off the bench last year because Ricky provided a consistent scoring presence. We had a very young second unit and he liked having a veteran like Ricky being in the mix with the young guys. By taking him out of the second unit, someone will need to be able to provide a consistent scoring hand that'll replace Ricky's expertise. Maybe that guy Rivers is looking at is Ryan Gomes.

they'll probably put blonut/Perk at the 4 because Raef isn't quick enough on D against the other PF

It will be interesting to see the Dickau vs West matchup. From what I've read West seems to be the better defender, so unless Dickau really shines on the offensive end, he may end up our #2 PG behind West.

Thank you Mev.
They both seem to have offense.
Doc likes his D...

Ainge said that Dickau is the most offensively talented PG we have. If Rivers starts him, it may be for that reason.
