Yea, Kiss Green, Jefferson and Pierce altogether goodbye after all. 1 huge star is not worth 3-4 key championship elements of a team. KG is 6'11 and can't play pg. They used him as a sg before. Are you on your rocker? Wrong MJ...

KG is good, but definitely not worth P2, our next best starter, and our future best rookie.
However, KG gets a bad rap. His contract cripples the team from signing any free agents.

Yeah, his contract is ridic. But after Shaq and Duncan, I would rank him as the best player right now. He does everything you ask of him. He doesnt care about scoring. Hes a all-world defender, all world rebounder, good passer, good teammate. McHale has to get him some teammates.

KG is not a good defender or inside player, his blocking avg. is ridiculous for a guy his size & talent. He plays to far away from the basket, settling for his jumper instead of going for the easy basket. He's great, but he would be so much better if he actually played in the paint more often.

KG gets his share of rebounds though. McHale has done a bad job at getting him teammates though. Sprewell and Cassell were old and plus cancers to their teams. KG will be a victim yet again to a 20 win season due to the guys McHale brought in. But what I do wonder is if McCants can be enough help.

I gotta disagree with Ossric on KG's D. KG is a great defender. The T-Wolves play a zone which requires KG to basically cover about %30 of the court. What he allows you to do on defense is probably his greatest attribute IMO.

Garnett is a very good defender. Often times, his weight doesn't match up well with bigger opponents who can move him around, but his height and length more than makes up for it. He's a super rebounder, and you got to give him credit because he's not your prototypical PF. He's got a SF's build but a PF"s game.
Frankly, the Timberwolves will probably go back to being a wanna be team. With Flip Saunders gone and a new coach in, the team is going to have to make adjustments. Same wiht the departure of Sprewell and Cassel.

KG is a sf playing a pfs game for sure. Hes one of the best in the game but if Danny dealt all the young talent + Pierce for him, it wouldn't be winning as much. It would probably be a 39-43 team. His team however looks terrible. Jaric is very injury prone plus McHale dealt a pick with Cassell to get him and some other scrub (Chalmers?). Terrible trade after all the picks McHale screwed their team out of. Signing Skita will do sh|it for them also. KG, Wally and Hudson is what its back to unfortunately.

Still, averaging 1.5 blocks a game with his physical abilities is a disgrace.

I'm surprise he only average 2 blks only once in his career. But, 20+pts 14 rebs is quite astounding to have on your team. Not many players can say they produce those type of numbers.
