Im excited about Gomes. I really think he can play. He just knows how to play and can score in a variety of ways and he is physical which will translate well to the nba. I really think we got a huge steal with Gomes. Im not sure how he fits as a starter although he might. I tend to see him as a perfect 6th man, but he might grow into a starting role over time if he works on his D. I do see him ultimately playing a lot regardless hopefully. Id like to ultimately see a lineup with Green and Gomes on the floor at the 2 and 3 for ultimate offense. And have guys like Allen and Reed for defensive purposes to balance things out. But still these guys have a ways to go, so I dont want to get too far ahead of myself. I do like gomes though.

Gomes will surprise many fans around the NBA. Many have never heard of him. Once they start hearing about his name, they'll wonder how he ever fell to #50. It is truly amazing that he fell that far.
He's a guy who very well could end up a starter, but he'll be a steady contributor and not a star. I feel that he can be an excellent team player and not an individual star.

I would possibly compare Gomes to Clarence Weatherspoon, if he'd been less overweight and could play a little better on the perimeter. Or maybe a young Charles Barkley without the blazing speed and ridiculous ups. Young Barkley should have been tested for substances every day as a matter of principal. Him and Mike Vick

I say Pierce, with less of a perimeter game, and more inside game.

I lke the weatherspoon comparision. Not quite the boarder that spoon was, but with a little better outside game. I also think hes comparable to a smaller corliss williamson.

Yea and have the center be 6'8 and play a fast pace.
Good fast lineup here:
Jefferson Green Ricky Allen Banks/West

I actually think Paul plays better as a shooting guard. i know a lot of people think there really isnt much of a difference but there is. Paul was at his best when we had Ewill playing the 3 because Paul wasnt forced to guard the other teams sf plus the other teams were forced to guard paul with their sg because Ewill was to big and would post up the other teams sg if they switched and guarded Paul with their sf. I think that if Justin Reed was named the starter Paul would average 25 points a game again. Reed is that big sf ainge was talking about last year.

I see it that way too Beefy... Nice points about PP and all true. I have high hope for Reed as well.

Does this still mean Paul Pierce has a future here though? Will anything change Paul Pierces attitude? Will he take a paycut after next year?
