I remember reading something about how Lucas was obsessed with his stats. Hed mentally keep track of how many rebounds he got in a game, then hed go argue with the statistitian if their numbers didnt match up.

One thing I saw jefferson lacking was rebounding and blocked shots especially. Maybe in time, he can be well rounded. Then again, I see Jefferson being a Zach Randolph without the baggage maybe mixed with Jermaine O'Neal and Randolph is weak in those other areas like Jefferson is. Randolph isn't a top rebounder even though he rebounds like 7 per game. Hes not a top blocker and I see Jefferson going in the Zach Randolph direction in terms of play. Jefferson is a very efficient rebounder especially on the offensive glass. His problem is position and strength. Thats what is going keep him from being a 10 reb per night guy unless he changes. Far as blocking shots, He'll be averaging around 1-2 blocks a game. I can see Jefferson becoming like Zach randolph as far as being a finese ball player but you lost me when you stated Randolph isn't a top notch rebounder. Randolph average around 20 pts 10 rebs for the past two seasons and is known to be a automatic double-double guy every night. If he puts anything near Randolph's stats then I'll be happy. I'm just happy he doesn't become a stat happy player like Randolph who cries when he doesn't get his 20 pts every game and blames the team for not giving him the shots.

Reminds me of Adrian Dantley running by the scorer's table asking how many points he had. This was when the game was in play.

But to call someone a baby shaq would mean that his game is a replica of Shaqs, and in my opinion, there games arent even close. One relies on size and strength, one relies on a nice scoring touch around the basket. You get the idea that I meant though right? Jefferson is a very efficient rebounder especially on the offensive glass. His problem is position and strength. Thats what is going keep him from being a 10 reb per night guy unless he changes. I agree that Jefferson hasn't reached his potential in strength and positioning. When I mentioned Randolphs rebounding, I meant not a rebounder like those of Big Ben or KG but 7-8 rpg is 5 away from 12-13rpg. Wasn't Zach a 19 and 8 player? Oh and if Al Jefferson becomes that, that would be real nice. Even 16 and 7 is real good for him. And also the fact that he wouldn't be a big pouter like Randolph would be a good thing. Randolph is cancerous. Even though the blazers are rebuilding, similar guys that they just had in terms of attitude will return to that team.
