Well that's the problem with Jerry is you never really know with him. His 1st round picks have been good of late though. Tyron Smith, Claiborne, Dez Bryant in his last 3 drafts. All good players. This one is questionable though. Frederick had a terrible combine which should have dropped his value not raised it.

I don't know if it's so much him meddling, it's more the philosophy or whether he is smart enough to make these kind of selections. There is something wrong with how they handle these picks. But I'll reserve judgement ont his one.

I think over the last 4 years or so it's been a combination of Jerry, Jason GArrett and Stephen Jones making these picks which has been pretty decent. It's not jerry in the late 90's and early 2000's. There's been a shift in focus.

This one is a bit of a head scratcher though.

I have some hope for this pick though. It fills a need, but could easily bust. EVerything I've read on him is that he is a terrific football player with an eye raising lack of athletic ability which may just completely keep him from becoming a good pro.

Gotta love the cowboys though. It's always interesting and jerry is fun to pick on. I've kind of mellowed on running him out of town because he's not going anywhere.

Besides I think the so called experts are even worse.

If it came down to elam or sticking with needs and drafting an offensive lineman I understand this pick. Drafting a safety that early is silly and the cowboys really needed offensive lineman. IF anything i dont think jerry meddled too much. It's just not a sexy pick.


I'll give hte cowboys a C. C+ with the beard.

Ever since the Romo era began, it always seems like the Cowboys have a great team on paper. You always hear the hype of "super bowl contender" and some years they should have done better. Whether it was coaching or just mix-match in chemistry, I don't really know. It's been frustrating being a Cowboys' fan, but Romo always brings the excitement (good and bad). Got talented names for the cool positions, but we can never get it done when it matters. This last year, however, the offensive line was horrible. I'm glad we addressed that, although it's weird we pick a guy that was so universally criticized and picked to be 2nd round at best.

I've actually agreed with Jerry's recent moves Runrondo that's the thing. They are going back to a 4-3 defensively. Rex Ryan was a terrible defensive coordinator and didn't fit with them. I actually like Jason Garrett somewhat. They've been drafting smart of late. This pick was a bit of a reach though. People didn't have Sean Lee rated high though either and the cowboys got him because of his smarts and look how he turned out.

I want the Pats to take Teo and I think a lot of teams are being dumb and hypocritical to pass over him, especially if they need a LB

I actually agree with your logic eja. The more people hate players on the internet the more I like them. At first I was like how can the jets continue to take players you know noone wants while the internet laughs and is totally ignorant and makes racist remarks. Something tells me Geno might actually be good.
