It's not exactly a quote, but I remember one time Tommy referred to Radmanovic as Rachmaninoff.
Another time I heard Tommy say something about a player's forte, and pronounced it "fort". I had always heard it pronounced "fortay", so I looked it up and lo and behold, Tommy was right. I have never heard anyone else say it correctly.
