See, what I think isn't the only thing. There are many options here to choose from....

I would like many of these to happen but I picked the best one.

Trading P2 would bring us in the best players. However, you those players be best for us?

i voted for the sixth one because to be honest all the others are either unrealistic or make our team worse. i'm one og those who think that getting cap space doesn't really make you that much better. i mean who do you sign in case you have too much free cash? a wing player? - we have those plenty, a stud front court player? - quit dreaming because all the studs willl always be signed by their respective teams. pg? - tell me which good one is really on the free agent market? so as i think that raef is underproductive for his salary we just don't have better options. i rather have lafrentz who has guts, will and brain than blount who is cheaper but is lacking in those other areas.

Very good post, BC. I especially agree with that last comment. Ultimately, I see Blount getting traded, with a good chance that Banks does too. Pierce is going to be a possibility, just because Ainge is going to listen to all offers that come his way.

Id prolly do all of them except for the pierce trades. And one the Pierce trades i didnt understand. Was it for Damon stoudamire and 2 firsts? THose salries wouldnt work out. BUT if one of those picks was a high lotto pick, Id think about it. Same goes for the allen/banks trade. If it gave us the poss. to get a top pick, Id do it in a heartbeat.

What might happen before the season and what might be at mid-season?

the chance for a top pick would change a lot. we still need that darn future starting center.

Kudos to meltin for creating a post like this. we need more of this kind of stuff during the dog days of summer. I'm glad someone sees it anyways. Now on the 6th option, I suppose keeping Raef over Blonut who makes less is logical regardless if Raef makes more. Hes not the biggest problem our team has.

Im still hoping that Perk can be a 8-10 pts, 8-10 brds kind of guy. He already has the bulk to take the abuse from guys like a shaq and whoever else comes down the pike in the next 10-12 years.

don't get me wrong i'm one of the biggest perk supporters here. it's just that he has to evolve into that role or we have to trade for someone.

That's the opinion I've had of Perkins. I like him as a player, and I'd like to see him in Boston for a long time (if not his entire career). But as of now, he's not looking like our future Center who'll be the starting Center on a championship team, and ultimately, our dynasty.
I think of him as a really good backup Center--a big man who can come in and do some damage against our opponents' backups. He's good at getting rebounds near the rim and flushing down a power dunk.
