It goes against the cap right? I think I remember Pitino cut Dino Radja. Then signed Vitally Potapenko. I wonder if he's still in the league

BC, on Celticsblog, there's this guy named Gabe Kahn. He's able to get inside info from the team, and also talks personally with the players.
He's the one who mentioned that the organization is not happy with Banks' attitude. What type of attitude Banks is currently showing is not publicized. Many things can be speculated, but no one outside of Banks, his agent, and the Celtics know what is really going on.
Gabe Kahn doesn't appear to be a guy who just listens for rumors, and then posts it to sound like he's on top of it. He seems to get his info straight from inside the organization.

yeah i visit celticsbloq regularly since thay often have the most up-to-date information, kahn has predicted a lot of moves correctly but not all of them. you have to take everything with a grain of salt. and he has his favourites too, one of those is delonte.

Yes, but he is not predicting anything. He clearly said that this is what he heard directly from the organization. Its one thing where he hears it from a second or third party. But when he's making the claim that he's heard it from the organization's mouth, he better be sure its true. And I believe he is. Doesn't sound made up at all.
And plus, if the organization is intent on keeping Banks, holding onto Bynum makes little sense. Having 4 PG's would be all we need.

we'll have 4 come first of october And there lies the crux of the whole debate: which PG will be cut? I think it comes down to Banks or Bynum. Delonte and Dickau are safe. Orien sounds like he's safe. If Banks was safe, Bynum wouldn't even be in the picture. That's what the picture on the wall seems to be saying.

bynum.
remember last year ainge signed ernest brown and everybody knew he had no chance of making the cut. the reason he signed bynum was to give him the chance. we suffer no financial loss if we cut him. the cash boston got from miami covers it all. basically it's a no risk move

Wasn't Brown only signed on to keep him here throughout training camp only?
I think Bynum was given that same type of deal after the summer league was over, and then just about a week ago, right before the Dickau signing, the Herald reported that Bynum signed a 3 year deal (only the 1st year being guaranteed). This essentially makes him our property for the entire year, and then if we like him, we can exercise the option for the remaining 2 years.

DA might not have signed Byn um if he already had Dickau.

But at the time he signed Bynum, he was already negotiating with New Orleans to bring in Dickau. I could see your logic if it were totally isolated signings. But at the time of Bynum's signing, the talk was that Ainge was soon going to bring in Dickau as well.

Will Bynum played not too good in the summer league also. He averaged what like 4ppg? I can see him getting cut. At least Danny knows Banks more than he does Bynum.

But not because of his mediocre stats in the summer league play. He was given a 3 year contract quite a while after summer league was over.
