yeah, i think all 9 will definitely not get playing time this season. let them fight it out. the stronger they get the stronger the team gets

i think the bulls showed that a young team with almost no vets can win. i can only think of one or two vets they had

Taking a pessimistic tack that the rest of the EC possibly got better and we got weaker with the loss of GP and Walker and Pierce and Blonut being on their own agendas instead of Doc and Danny's, I think this will be a long season - only about 33 wins expected.
However, if we bench Blonut and play Perkins fulltime, then good things can happen and we can be at least a .500 team and see a better future.
Walker gave this team a personality and we have elected to move on. Pierce probably wants out, too. If we have to rely on Pierce being a good soldier, that would be a problem. If we focus on playing the kids, we will be better off in the future.
Prediction 34 wins - 48 losses and a marketable lotto pick.

Yes, Walker did give us personality. But I'm beginning to think that we will have a new identity without him. We will be known as the team who plays with tremendous energy who brings a lot of excitement.

I agree with QB. Id say well finish anywhere between 30-40 wins, and Id guess closer to the former. I think that the East will be a lot better this year.

also, let's hope that doc's substitution patterns are more logical... God I hope so. Having Blonut on the bench getting maybe 5-10mpg is very logical. Scala will get many minutes which may take away from Perkins playing more too though. But, Scala is more productive than Blonut for sure. I expect more minutes for Gerald Green than I saw from Perkins and Jefferson on their rookie years meaning even 1-2 minutes more per game for Green than Al J saw last year. Guards are different also. It takes longer to develop big men. Green could easily get more pt than Perkins and Jefferson did in their rookie seasons. |

Yea, I surely want to see the flashes of whats to come from Gerald Green meaning a super dunk in the final minutes.

I want to see his verticle on jump shots and some defense.
Right now I want to see him play the 2. With age and size, move him to the 3.

Hes tall enough for the 3 unlike Paul Pierce. Hes also faster. Lets just hope he pans out first which I have no doubt he will.

At first, I was tabbing Green to be our eventual SG. But since I like Tony Allen so much, I like the idea of having Green at SF and Tony at SG. It makes sense that way and it gives us so much athleticism at the 2 and 3.

To all those who predicted 45+wins, please share with me what you are all smoking. Must be pretty good stuff. 35-43 wins, barely make playoffs, get swept in round 1. The East has improved while we have taken a few steps back.
