Lets just man up. It always seems like zone defense in the NBA is just a way of saying that you dont have the horses to play good defense so you have to settle for gimmick D. We have the right athletes IMO, to be a good defensive team, we just need to get our core players set in the next couple of years, and good D will come with hard work and experience.

This could mean keeping Banks also because he is known for good defense. Like I say, sometimes the guy you think will be moved, may not be. Just because Marcus was dealt once, doesn't mean it'll happen again. I think Banks is one of these guys in Bostons young group who can be a good defender.

If Banks stays, he'll have a role on the team. He's a sparkplug off the bench who can ignite our chaotic pressure defense. He still hasn't been able to utilize his speed on the offensive end to where he's taking advantage of mismatches--but he can still develop that.

If it was a full court defense man, it would even make less sense. Is that possible? Who's gaurding the baseline? That's all I ask John.

If it was a full court defense man, it would even make less sense. Is that possible? Who's gaurding the baseline? That's all I ask John. The V would spread out as it goes to the baseline so this would be designed in a tight V for the opposition to go straight down the middle with no baseline passes. This defense would do well against guys like McGrady or Francis.
