Which one of the young guys will have the greatest impact on this year's team?
Big Al could be the starting PF this year and his minutes will surely be near 20 minutes a game, if not more.
Tony Allen was a starter last year, though he was holding back a lot, tyring to fit into the veteran starting lineup we had last year.
Delonte West could also be a starter this year. Even if Ainge signs a veteran PG before the season starts, Delonte could get the starting nod. It seems like his job to lose.
Doc Rivers said that Kendrick Perkins will get more playing time this season. If he can be a steady rebounding force and shot blocker, his impact will be greatly felt.
If you feel that some other player is going to have the greatest impact among the young players, specify who it is and what your reasoning is behind your decision.

Mt Perk, if he can stay out of foul trouble. Reed, if he can't... ;D

AJ will have the biggest impact of the second year players. Though, Gomes may have biggest impact of rookies.

Yeah, I'm not limiting the choices to just second and third year players.
Jefferson is a solid choice, being that he has arguably the highest ceiling among the young players. But I get a gut feeling about Tony Allen. This kid's heart is incredible and he's only begun to scratch the surface. He's explosive and he can be mean if he wants to be. And the more energy he plays with, the more dangerous he becomes. Don't need to run plays for him. He can give you 20 pts just by playing at a frantic pace.

Yeah, Gomes is a player I'm rooting for. His ceiling is not as high as Jefferson's, but he may be more "ready" for the NBA as a rookie than Jefferson will be as a second year player straight out of high school.
Eddie, is that your final answer?

His ceiling is not as high as Jefferson's, I just don't see how anyone could know this.

I picked Perk, because I expect and I think a lot expect AJ to be good, but I'm not so sure people are expecting Perk to be good, so when he is it will make a greater impact if you see what I'm saying. It's kinda like if PP plays the exact same as he has, but AJ improves who makes the bigger impact? AL J even though he may not be as good

I think TONY ! According to the summer league play, he was displaying taht new found jumper of his. And all he really needs to do right now is, to be consistent with his Jump shot and maintain game focus for 48 mins. Those two shouldn't be too hard for a second year player like Tony.

Isn't this a wonderful problem to have? Wondering which young guy will be best? I mean it used to be the exact oppositte. I used to sit and pray that a pick wouldn't be a bust and now my biggest problem is who will take minutes from who.

You also forgot Mirallas. When he comes back to the nba, what if hes an underdog who even becomes better than Al J? Can still happen.
