Boy, am I dreaming? Or is our lineup really that stacked from 1 - 14? From top to bottom, we are littered with talent, athleticism, and competitiveness.
Will our players survive practice? Forget the actual games--practice will be a tougher workout for the starters. I mean, if our starters are Raef, Jefferson, Pierce, Allen, and Delonte, that means that Raef has to battle Perkins, Jefferson has bang around with Scalabrine, Pierce has to go up against Reed and Gomes, Tony Allen has to scrap and claw with Ricky Davis, and Delonte West has to learn how to get past Marcus Banks. And that still leaves out Mark Blount, Gerald Green, and Orien Greene. Every practice will be a full out battle, as many of our bench players may start one of these days.
This team will be better just by going up against each other in practice. I'd pay the price of admission just to watch practices.

I would pay too !!!! I envision a team that will develop a very competitve spirit that will make the difference in winning/losing the close games. Last year, the so called VETS, never developed that competitive nature and thereby, lost many leads and failed to "close out" games the close games. The fiery nature that will be nurtured, will go a long way to winning close games (we lost too many last year )! I know that I seem opto, but that is the kind of nature and attitude that made Bird, Jordan and Magic so "clutch"of a player .

I see our future team having a future Big Shot Bob type player (not Walter) who will be key to this young teams success. A clutch 3 pt shooter which Walker never was. Maybe this guy is Scalabrine after all. As far as the entire team goes, this can be a team who wil not lose close games like selfish players like Walker and Pierce have. Ricky in the 4th quarter wasn't even as selfish as Pierce was. He actually got it done despite his past image. If this team can have a vocal young group of guys, Ricky being one of the few veterans won't hurt our team. Now if Ricky was counted on for total vocal leadership as one of the few veterans, he couldn't do it. This is why it would be good if Danny acquires 1 more or 2 more vets or if not, it would be good if one or two of our young guys were able to handle pressure plus leading by words and example. 1 or 2 of those guys are key. But with this young team, I see less crap going on than the Walker/Pierce era. Pierce has become a mediawhore and that has not been good for us.
