the improvement of reed is intriguing but i still think that gomes will be better than him This is why I think they should send Reed to the NBDL for now and move Banks and another player to get something back worth having that fits the team system. It would at least free up a roster spot if Reed went to the NBDL.

I wouldn't give up on Banks yet. This will be "year 2" for him.

As far as the rotation its still way too early to tell at this point. I just want to see more running and better ball movement. Plus the energy on defense needs to be a lot better. Im pretty much hoping that because of all the young blood we will see more energy this year. This team was really flat at times until Antoine came back which ignited them quite a bit, hopefully this year they can bring that intensity on their own.

The defensive intensity really needs to be kicked up a notch. And despite the early attempt to be a running team last year, we really didn't accomplish that feat. As the veterans starting getting tired later in the season, there was a lot more walking.
A premium must be set on rebounding. Guys need to be treating rebounds as though its gold. Securing every possession is very important.

I think sending Reed to the NBDL might send a pretty aweful message to the players. Send the one who hasn't improved, not the one who has

Banks can't go obviously. West maybe?

The only player that was drafted by Boston that might be sent to the NBDL is Greene IMO. I don't see that happening unless we bring in a vet PG and keep both West and Banks. I kinda think Ainge wants all the young guys to develop together, by practicing and playing together. Just a hunch.

I was thinking Allen could go to the nbdl also and it move West at the starting sg spot.

I think you are right, C17. Orien Greene may end up going to the NBDL by default, if Banks is not traded before the start of the season. If Ainge decides to hold onto him, whether to give him another chance or because no good trade proposal came up, I think Banks will be on a short leash.

I think Allen is definitely NOT, going to NBDL. Why ? Because I believe he will have the biggest improvement to his game, out of all the "Rooks". He has shown some of it in Summer league. He will be the "initiator" (if such a word), of their defensive game plan. On defense, for the"STARTERS", Tony will be the catalyst.
