I'd watch our young PGs in training camp, and see if their is one of them we can either NBDL(Greene) or trade(Banks) to make room for a bargain basement PG(Im talking to you, Travis Best).
Id keep a close eye on Blount and Pierce, keeping dibs on their attitudes. Id listen to trade offers at all times, and if their attitudes start to sour, start making trade proposals myself ('hello, is Elgin home?')
Most importantly, I wouldnt make any moves unless i felt 100% comfortable with them. Just use this year as basically a practice season for the kids.

If I was Ainge, I would ...
Hire mev17 as assistant GM
Congratulate Doc for benching Blount at the end of the season and let him know I have his back whenever he feels the need to bench a vet.
Watch pre-season and training camp very carefully to see whether a veteran PG or PF/C is our biggest need, then hit the phones armed with my trade exemption.
Did I mention hiring mev17???

If I were Danny, I would make a run at Dan Dickau for the next signing. I would have a plan in my mind to trade Paul Pierce at the deadline instead of right now because many of our sg's besides Ricky may be sitting and may be ready by the deadline but not now. I would make Delonte the new pg. I would look for more ideas to ship Banks. If I couldn't move Blonut, I would see how this next season would turn out ( because Walkers comeback made Blonut take a seat even more) and if he gets benched again due t othe same bad attitude, Id cut him. But I would give him one more chance seeing there is no Walker anymore. If he failed, hes cut and if he does well, he could get some value in return is how I would see it so therefore, I would wait for his BYC contract status to expire and package him with that 5.5m exception to get Antonio Davis or something along those lines. I would also have Borchardt play some center behind Raef and Perkins while Scalabrine starts at pf the season and Al J gets 25mpg off the bench. This is what I would want it to look like if I were Ainge:
Raef/Perkins/Borchardt/Jefferson/Blonut Scalabrine/Jefferson/Borchardt Reed/Gomes/Green Pierce/Davis/Allen West/Greene/Banks
But, thats more than 12 guys. Banks will be gone for a pick is what I say because Danny seems to like Greene a lot. Blonut wastes space but 1 more chance is all I would give him being very impatient with him. This is well over the roster limit. Somebody I'm afraid would have to go even if Banks is gone for a pick.

If I'm Danny Ainge, I'd hire Mev (hey, you using the Jedi mind trick on me?).
My biggest goal will be to get Greg Oden in the '07 draft. So all my moves leading up to that summer will have to be carefully planned out.
I'd sign both Will Bynum and Taylor Coppenwrath and let them play in the NBDL.
I'd look for any trade for Blount. I don't think losing him will be of any significance.

1. I would shut off the sports radio. The Walker-PP had no real chance to do anything but scratch out 40ish wins and get booted out of the playoffs. This would have damned us to mediocrity but allowed us to be a marginally successful team. Sport fans often live in the now or the past. But we can't use our past to help us or the present so he had to blow up the team.
2. Stick to my plan, which is to play the kids. I would try to move Blount. He is an albatross and I have never liked his game. When a seven footer can't rebound they are a stiff! Get athletes so Doc has to play the running game of the Celtics!
3. Keep stock piling picks, Danny seems to have a gift for it. So why not get as many as he can so he can make the roster more talented.
4. Don't panic and create future cap space. I figure I will take my lumps as the kids develop but once they do cap space will be needed to get teh final pieces.

Mark Blonut definitely needs to go. I hope the rumor to Detroit is true.
