He adds...
I'm not sure that Danny has decided on a direction yet - there is still an internal organizational debate over "Try to compete" vs. "Rebuild with the kids." Green falling to No. 18 was a major monkey wrench. I think they are worried about Paul being unhappy and going into VC Mode if they lose a few games early, killing his value in the process. Him blowing off Danny in Vegas was a bigger deal than people realize - he's basically saying, "I was a !!!GREENIAC!!! to my coach last year and I will continue to be a !!!GREENIAC!!! this year. I have no interest in discussing this."

Pierce is developing a very poor attitude, I would dump him to New Orleans for their unrestricted #1 if I could.

Resign AW? Dump DA? What next? Bring back Pitino? I am signing onto a Lakers fan site and am going to start saying that keeping Kobe instead of Shaq was great, and that we need to bring back Rider, and offer a huge contract to Darko.

Pierces attitude is only getting worse every year. If he is kept, expect to see horrible behavior this year. At least they are giving him one more chance until the trade deadline. Maybe even sooner. They'll end up moving him one way or the other. I think it could also be a smokescreen that they are keeping him. But it will be sometime in the season when hes gone. I would be shocked if it was in the offseason. Oh god, knowing the owners, they probably would give Pitino his job back. If anything even close to that happens, I will no longer be a celtics fan.

McHale doesn't seem as smart as some people may have thought before.

Oh yea like try to get all the stars he could to surround KG cancerous or not it didn't matter. Drafting Ebi was one. Costing the wolves 4-5 picks. Not trading for extra picks that they really need to keep generations coming. McHale was really iffy. Something just does not sound right with him.

The move I question the most by McHale was the so-called secret contract w/ Joe Smith. The penalty for that mistake, more or less set the franchise back to never win a championship w/Garnett. Teams build through the draft. Young player, cheap salaries. 4-5 draft picks, gone, and Garnett's huge contract on the table compounding it.

Yep, McHale doomed himself with one fell move. Garnett's an awesome player, but if he ever wants to win a championship as a player, he needs to get out of Minnesota.

Thats what I meant when he cost his team 4-5 draft picks. Garnett surely won't win a title in Minny. In Chicago, hed have a much better chance. And all it would take would be chandler/curry and deng + a pick and Antonio to get him probably.
