Seems like Tony Allen is one of Doc's favorites. I think he'll be in Boston for a very long time.
Surprisingly, the only players who have not been voted off are Jefferson, Perkins, and Gomes.

I chose Orein Green b/c we havent heard anything about the dude. For all we know he may never put on a Celtics Jersey.
I didn't choose Banks because his departure from Boston is a foregone conclusion, IMO. Call it a huntch.

Fresh, Orien Greene has signed (or is very close to) a multi-year contract with us. If I'm reading between the lines correctly, Ainge really digs this kid. And with what's written about him, what's not to like? He's a tall PG (6'5") with good size (200 lbs), a long wingspan, excellent ball handling skills, solid explosiveness, a pass first mentality, scoring ability, an improving jump shot, and a tough attitude (he played with a broken foot for most of the year). I can't wait to see him for myself to see if all these things they say about him is true.

What's not to like is that he was the 53rd pick and if he was that good he would have been taken much higher. In fact I hadn't even heard of him till we picked him. Granted it was a screwy draft

Well, where you get picked isn't as important as how good you end up being. Gilbert Arenas was also a second rounder and he's definitely not a second round talent.

True enough. However the difference between early and late 2nd rouders is like the diff between early and late 1rst rndrs. Granted I didn't know about his foot problem. I don't know if that makes me more happy or not. I'm happy they picked him over tons of other players still available at that point

The pessimistic Peter in me says they all could be gone in 5 years - particularly if the team does not gel by '06-'07 and there is new ownership and management. The optimistic Q-Box says we could see all of them here and all the veterans gone. Unfortunately, I pick Tony Allen as the guy most likely to be odd man out due to Gerald Green, Ricky Davis and Paul Pierce being at the SG spot. They are saying Pierce is the future technically? Man oh man. If all of these guys do not pan out, Danny will be a failure and this team would still have what they call "The Len Bias and Reggie Lewis curse". I want Danny to succeed with all of this. There still so happens to be a chance 1 out of those 9 guys pan out. That would be horrible. BTW, not that it matters but a Portland fan I talked to seeing his team picked Martel Webster over Green, he said Green will be another Quintel Woods because they hyped him to be the next T-Mac also. That would just be terrible. What's not to like is that he was the 53rd pick and if he was that good he would have been taken much higher. In fact I hadn't even heard of him till we picked him. Granted it was a screwy draft Nobody knew of Manu either or else he'd go higher. He was a secret I'm pretty sure.
