Above is a list of the players, in the order they were drafted, from 2003 - 2005. Its not conceivable that all 9 players will pan out and remain with the team in 5 years. At some point during the next 5 years, a player or three will not be on team, due to trading away for a need or because of surplus, etc.
Who do you feel will be traded, or released, at some point in the next 5 years, and if possible, explain why you've made this decision.

Banks because he was nearly shipped out once. I would say in 5 years half of these guys will be moved. Trade-ups at draft maybe.

Gerald Green Once he becomes a star, he may not want to play in Boston anymore. Call me nuts, he just got here but this vote is also my way of saying, expect the unexpected. For some reason, I see him leaving. Maybe because he will develop the fastest out of all our young guys not naming Gomes and he has the highest star potential out of all of our guys. If he feels he should be able to win due to getting more skill, this team may not where he wants to be. He is from Houston after all. A city where the rockets are and he grew up a fan of them.

Some good thoughts John. None of us know for sure. Just a gut thing. We all have one, none of us are 100%.

I figured I'd pick him because there is a chance he could be gone. I would sure hate to see it if he became something or even if he wasn't a star but a key guy to have. Something just tells me hes heading for stardom though.

Lets F'in hope is right. The #1 most important thing is to get a good situation going with winning to entice the top players to stay. Al J I picture staying through it all though good or bad. Green, not so much.

i'm guessing 2 if not all 3 of our PG's 5 years is a long time, not a lot of players have played 5 years for the Celtics.

I'm putting Banks down as the most likely of the group, to get traded or released.
This may sound unexpected, but Perkins could also be a guy on the short list. If he starts to develop his game, even if its only the defensive part of his game, teams are going to want him included in any trade Ainge tries to coordinate.

That will be bad. But dont assume all teams will want Perkins. But a lot may. I can see many guys on the short list really. Al J for some reason seems less likely to be thoguh.

The Banks reasoning makes sense. I am not assuming GG becomes a star and if he does the last two players that became all-stars in Boston (Walker,PP) were offered max contracts and stayed and the Glove was itching to come back and so is Walker so I like our chances of keeping who we got. I said Oriene Green. The odds of a #53 pick making it in the league let alone with the same team with 2 or 3 young PGs ahead of him and always looking for another are incredibly low. I'm also not interested in all the good things DA and Doc say about players. You know how much they like them based on PT and who gets offered in trades. So Blonut, possibly PP, and Banks aren't too liked. Then the season starts and PP and Banks get tons of pt and suddenly I'm not completely sure who they like and don't. If they hated PP he'd be gone by now. Blonut is an entirely different story. I think the most we could get for him would be a clone. Does anyone have interest in Calvin Booth or Jerome James or Dan gadzuric anytime soon?

Me neither. Well if he money was the exact same or better for us than yes since you can't get less effort than Blount

Another player would put more hustle up than Blonut has anyways. I would take Gadzuric just maybe.

The pessimistic Peter in me says they all could be gone in 5 years - particularly if the team does not gel by '06-'07 and there is new ownership and management.
The optimistic Q-Box says we could see all of them here and all the veterans gone. Unfortunately, I pick Tony Allen as the guy most likely to be odd man out due to Gerald Green, Ricky Davis and Paul Pierce being at the SG spot.
I don't like that at all because Tony Allen is a heckuva a playa.
