Scala? Dixon? Swift? Sura? Geez why not just get Gerald Wallace, Turkoglu, tariq Abdul Wahid, Keith Bogans, Melvin Ely, Zoron Planninic, Jahidi White, Anthony Carter, Bostjan Nochbar, and Scott Padget. Lets even pay them money and make a song called March of the Mediocres

Yeah, that's been Ainge's tact since coming over. He goes after mediocre talent rather than going after big names. He could have had Travis Best, but went with Mike James. He missed out on McDyess, so he went after Gugliotta instead.
He's done the first part of his plan, which is draft talent. Next step is to develop the talent. And then once this is completed, he can trade the talent for really good players. Better free agents will want to come here once we start having success.

Bear in min that Ainge himself was something of a role player.

Dixon can shoot from the outside as well. Has a nice jump shot.

I don't view him as an outside threat, but I think he's excellent from inside the arc. For his career, he just hasn't been used correctly to showcase his goods. He's a gamer--you'll hardly see a smile creep on his face during a game.

Bank could be called a vet. I wouldn't be too upset if DA goes with West, Banks and Greene. I've put Orien on my favorites list. I have a gut feeling about this kid. He's my next rook-under-wing. 1 - Justin Reed 2 - Orien Greene

But what happens if all these promising young guys we have go? Then sadly, we'll be calling to trade for Paul Pierce again once hes shipped out lol. I just hope this team doesn't turn out to be the clippers of the east in the long run. It could if just 2 of our young core leave the celts eventually. Danny was in for a real rough situation and he made the best of it and has done well getting the team young. But it still does not mean our team will attract good fa's that are young like some teams can. Our front office isnt strong besides Danny. Indy has Donnie Walsh plus Bird. Detroit has Joe D and he can attract players and good big name coaches. Our team hasn't had a good big name coach since KC Jones. But Dannys fa signings were questionable. Googs over McDyess for 1 yes. The Ricky trade was good but I still question Raef for Walker and then getting Walker back. Allen did come out of that though. Lets just hope our young core stays and Doc turns his image around as a good coach.

The Clippers drafted and traded players that sucked. DA isn't quite like that. He's not Pitino or anything.

The clippers are always drafting the players the media thinks they should. Also, they have had some bad luck as well. Example - Danny Manning blowing out his knee (was never the same).

Looks like Blazers signed Dixon- don't know where he will possibly fit, but I guess the like him a lot.

The clippers I do notice drafts who the media hypes. No wonder some of their top choices were horrible like Kandi. Livingston could also be a case of this too as talented as he appears to be. Nothing is written in stone that says he'll be great. And about Dixon, this was a needed move by Portland to get a 3rd pg. I can see Telfair start only if they want a youth movement taking all the minutes. Dixon may be the wise choice to start now though seeing he is more seasoned. I can see Jack being the 3rd pg this year there. Portland is like totally re-doing their team.
