Walker's agent had talks with Cleveland. Yahoo sports said that if Walker comes to CLE, it'll mean the end of Drew Gooden's stay.
They're not saying that Gooden will be traded for Walker, but that does bring up an interesting scenario. Gooden is a terrific offensive player who hasn't really found a home in the NBA. He can score, rebound, block some shots, and steal some passes.

he would probably be a good back-up for al. offense off the bench. inconsistant though. my biggest question is however how does doc feel about coaching gooden again?

I'd probably rather have neither Walker or Gooden. But, I suppose this can work because Gooden is an inside player. This to me is like trading for a young Juwan Howard. Gooden I don't think brings good leadership.

Good analogy to Howard. Not sure why Gooden has rubbed every team the wrong way.

Could he be the new Parish?
Didn't think so.

Not at all. The new Parish is our own Perks. ;D Yeah, he's developing into the next Chief. Sometimes, players will feel the urgency to conform their games and attitudes after being in the league for a certain amount of years and being traded frequently (think of how much Ricky Davis has grown from the time he was drafted by Miami, then being traded to CLE, and eventually being traded to us. He was a hot headed, cocky individualistic player who butted heads with his coaches. Now, he's civilized and has taken the 6th man role with pirde). This may be an opportunity for Gooden to rethink the way his career is shaping out and let the coaches mold him into the player they need him to be. Maybe a second go around with Doc Rivers will be good for him, since he already knows what Rivers wants from him. I'm not pushing for Gooden to come here, but he's an option I'd consider for Walker.

Not to mention, LIKE RICKY WAS, Gooden is on the cavs also. I can see some hope for him if he comes to Boston perhaps.
