One of the most interesting aspects of the pre-draft camp every year is the list detailing the official height, weight, wingspan and even hand length of each player.

Here's a look at how every player in the draft measured up:

With Jordan Williams predicted to be our pick ..Its interesting to see how short he actually is..Specially since hes a center..Not sure if we should be drafting a center that short at 6'9

*I was surprised Walker was 5.11+. I thought he was under 5'10 for sure.

*Faried led the nation in rebounding at 6'6.

*Is the college game watered down by the fact that most centers were way under 7'0 tall?

Yeah Walker isn't too tall but neither was Ty Lawson who is about the same height. Lawson does have more range on his shots but Walker has more speed and creativity in the paint. I think he will do well.


Faried leading the nation in rebounds might have something to do with the fact that he was the team's center even at that height, so in terms of rebounding he would likely get most rebounds before his team did. Plus, he plays in a conference that lacks alot of the big schools so..it could be a number of factors that led to his outstanding rebounding numbers but nevertheless he is a good rebounder. I just don't know if that translates to the NBA but if it could, he could be a pure rebounder like Rodman.

And yeah..seems as if its harder and harder to come by tall 7'0 legit centers. I'd have to say that the statistics of some of these NBA prospect centers in college are helped by the fact that their opponents do not always have equal height centers. Faried for example averaged 17 points per game last season but alot of it came from close range shots and dunks which isn't as likely to happen in the NBA.

I only saw Walker play a few times, however I thought his game resembled alot of Rondo, when Rondo played at UK.

Faried did play for a mi major college, however if you look at his numbers vs the major colleges (ex: Florida, Ohio St, Louisville), his numbers were awesome.

I would love for Faried to fall to Boston, but I don't see that happening. Dude is gonna be a solid pro.

I'm hoping we can grab Chris Singleton who is the top rated defender in this class. He would hopefully be our next TA in terms of defense. Not too excited about any of the other prospects to be honest..we do need a center badly but this class just isn't going to give us a starting caliber center.

Faried would be a dream player this draft. My thinking is that Danny will take a slider, or a wildcard. Example - Jeremy Tyler, or maybe Reggie Jackson.
