With our new draft picks and the coming Summer League, we Green-iacs can expect another exciting season from the Men in Green!
Welcome back all our current members and to all our new members!

Can't wait to see how Green, Gomes and even Greene mesh with Banks, West, Allen, Jefferson and Perkins. I in particular am looking for big strides this year by Mr. Perkins. Doc has already promised a lot more playing time for our young bigs and has made their development a priority. Green and Gomes were too good to pass up, but I also think it indicates Danny and Doc are confidant in our two young bigs.
I wonder if we will invite Gigli (a big young Italian some mocks had us picking in round 2, but who went undrafted) to summer league?

I'm also excited to see how our young guys have developed over the course of the summer. Doc feels that Tony Allen will breakout this year. I expect Delonte to show more of his shooting ability. I'm not going to put lofty expectations on Gerald Green yet, because he's got to outperform too many guys in front of him, and Ricky and Pierce are no easy tasks to outperform.
It'll be an interesting dilemma to see who wins the battle between Justin Reed and Ryan Gomes. I feel that Gomes has the upperhand because he's got a more versatile offensive game, but Reed's defense may prove to be his ace of spades in this competition.
Marcus Banks is in his final year of his rookie contract. This new kid Orien Greene is a tall PG who is said to be a good defender, too. This could also be an interesting battle. If Orien can assimilate his game into the speed of the NBA quickly, Banks will find that he needs to step up his game tenfold just to stay on the team. But Ainge may opt to send Orien to the NBDL because he's looking for a veteran PG to add some depth.
We didn't draft a big man, but Perkins and Jefferson should be better players this season. If Walker isn't resigned, look for Jefferson to get a bigger role.
Doc and Ainge want to bring in veterans who can play so that they can be good influences on the young guys, whom we have a boat load of. We need veterans to show the young pups how to act professionally on the court and off the court.

With that one-time only rule in the new CBA, a couple of veteran big men will become FA, we could sign one of them if Walker doesn't come back.
I wonder who's going to be the odd man out. We have 10 players on the roster, 3 rookies & we'll need a 3rd PG (not to mention an extra big if Walker isn't resigned). That makes 15 players but the new CBA allows only a roster of 14. Someone is going to be shafted...

Do the 2 who can go to NDBL count toward the 14? I hope not.

Reed could be shafted too. But, GP wont be back so thats 1 more spot open. Hopefully Walker goes also.

How about someone starting a folder for the summer league stuff? Could be a place to put names like Taylor's, etc. before the actual start.

How about someone starting a folder for the summer league stuff? Could be a place to put names like Taylor's, etc. before the actual start. Well, I can actually add a sub board to this board for summer stuff. I will do it now, tell me what you all think. If it doesn't work, we can remove it.

I like the sub-board idea.
