So yeah I know its old news but I'm torn inside on what to think. On one hand, I feel sorry for both Byron Russell who issued the challenge, the fans who paid the money and the D-League team who thought people were there to support them but then they all left after they found out that the MJ was a fake. Then on the other hand, I feel sorry for the owner who just wanted to promote his D-League team although it did backfire badly and the fake MJ who was just trying to earn a dollar in harsh economic times. I mean just check out the hype in this youtube vid : www.youtube.com/watch?v=As2kUPdgZjI&feature=relatedAt the moment, I just don't know who to feel sorry for. The owner offered refund and extra tickets but I doubt the fans will bother. Imagine what the team must feel...being associated with the fake MJ hoax. I guess I'm just gonna blame MJ...for not being sporting enough to take up the challenge and earn $100,000 for a charity. Its not like he has a busy schedule..he just plays golf and smokes cigars everyday. But then again when you're MJ, you no longer want to associate yourself with D-Leagues, washed up ex-NBA players or the such. MJ has always been MJ I guess..He hasn't exactly been known for his down to earth fan friendly attitude.
