Well, I was never much of a video game guy (even as a child). But I did own a Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and PlayStation.
My favorite games growing up were Super Mario (#1, 2, and 3) and Zelda. I guess Kid Icarus and Metroid were games I played too.

I had this game system called a Micro Genius. It used the old game catridges and there were a coupla fun games on it which I now can't remember. Other than that, never really had a favourite game. I suppose Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and God of War were the series I played most.

Upon retrospect, I need to remove something from my list and make room for either Street Fighter 2: Tournement Edition or Mortal Kombat 2. I rented both of those a lot as a kid.
