nbadraft.net/profiles/hiltonarmstrong.aspThis kid would be worth a look as a low first round pick, (if we trade down, OR actually play over .500 basketball second half of the season). He could replace Kandi as an end of the bench big man, and he would definitely fit into our uptempo offense. Also, he went to my high school, and I knew his older sister so that bias factor is there as well. ;D

I like Armstrong. A hard working player, who definitely has improved his game since he was a freshmen. 6'11, strong (no pun), plays solid defense, blocks shots, and pulls down rebounds. Exactly what we need. However, I think Sheldon Williams (yes, E-Mac...) would be the better player out of the 2.

I agree Shelden will be the better player. But if we trade down, Armstrong would be worth a look for an off the bench active big guy, a 10th, 11th, 12th man of sort.
They compare him to Ervin Johnson. I'm thinking more like a more active version of Steven Hunter.

I really think this is the year to trade down.

I really think this is the year to trade down. Or even trade out. I really feel that Ainge has been acquiring all of these draft picks over the last few years, little by little, to package them all together for that "one final move".

I definitely think Danny has drafted well, and traded well enough to make that deal w/ a team. He justs needs to catch a team off-guard, like NJ did w/ the "Carter" deal.

I agree Danny has drafted well. Also his trades have been decent. Some people in the media may think that he is not patient. I think the opposite. There are so many times when he could have "rushed" a trade. All of his trades were made in patience, but were good deals. I was a little skeptical of the Ricky trade, but after judging it two weeks later, we got the better end of the deal for sure. Every trade he has made has resulted in some type of positive, either future draft picks who turned into good players (Delonte, T Allen, etc.) or a return player who is decent (Wally, Ricky, Toine, etc.) I also think that one big move may not even have to be that deceiving, or catching another team off guard. We do have an abundance of draft picks in the coming years. All we need to do is catch a team who is rebuilding and who is trading away decent vet/vets for youth. (Bobcats, Hawks, Blazers, Kings, etc.)

The only part of that deal was Banks. Yes, 3 different coaches, and the same 'ol player, but I think this guy could be a great role player.

I agree he can be a player, but it was a numbers game here, and Delonte seemed to be the better fit. I have always been a fan of Banks. He has the athletic ability, speed, quickness, and pure talent. He just needs to package it all together with B-ball IQ and it's a wrap. So far, he hasn't been able to do it with the latter.
