Here are some of the players that would be in our range if the draft started today:
JJ Redick - Do not think we need him
Tyrus Thomas - heard he is staying in college though
Shelden Willams - can definitely see this pick. Can never have too many bigs (like pitchers in baseball)
Rajon Rondo - the best point guard prospect
Josh Boone - a power forward prospect, though I believe he is overrated
Tiago Splitter - BC says this dude is nice. I have heard that he is overrated
Taj Gray - an athletic power forward, reminds me of a cross between Chris Taft and Chris Wilcox. His offense needs some work.
This year's draft is weak outside of the top 4 (Gay, Morrison, Aldridge, and Bargnani)
Like Ainge says, after the first tier group, the rest are up in the air. You can pick a guy at 18, and he could be better than the number 5 pick.

A'm I wrong liking Morrison? Is he too good to be true?

The things that I have seen regarding Morrison are that he is probably one of the most cerebral and competitive players to come out of college in a very long time. The guy wears his emotion on his sleeve in a good way. He is NEVER afraid to take a big shot, and seems to play better with his back against the wall. A lot of that competitive fire probably comes from the fact that he has to fight through adversity just to play the game.(Diabetes) The dude actually checks his sugar during the games on the bench in time-outs. That's perseverance if I ever saw it.
I saw one of his game winning shots in the beginning of the year that was unbelievable. I remember saying to myself, "let me check out this Morrison guy, and see what this hype is all about". There was 20 secs left in the game, and the Zags were down by 2 I think. The guy hits a clutch 3 pointer in a defenders face to ice it for Gonzaga. After that, I became a believer.
Having said that, do we need him? I mean, he would be a nice pickup, but we already have Paul and Wally. Would he really add that much more? Unless we were in total rebuilding mode, I really can't see us getting this guy. I really think Ainge will either move the picks to next year, or trade for a solid vet, and continue to build around the "core". If he does keep the pick, I say he either picks a point guard he absolutely loves, or picks up a big like Shelden, Tiago, Boone, etc.
