Brandon could only do so much though. He was 6'6 250.

Yeah, but he was a double double machine and he was a beast on the boards. Commentators were really praising his game after seeing how hard he played and how aggressive he was. Teams had to restructure their game plans against him, which allowed Blount to be more open for rebounds.
I was really shocked that Ainge exposed Hunter in the expansion draft.

there must have been a reason for the fact that he was exposed and later traded to orlando

I've stated this in the past--I feel that Brandon Hunter was viewed expendable because he may have had a bad, thuggish presence surrounding him. I don't think he was a lockerroom favorite. He seemed like the type of person who rubs people the wrong way. There's no way Hunter should have been exposed and not McCarty from a basketball skills standpoint. Hunter can do damage on the court.

Huntah definitely was one of the reasons Blount had a contract type of season. I was pretty upset he got left unprotected.
I like the idea of AJ playing center.

Yeah, I do too. I think Jefferson can make that switch to Center. He's a versatile player, big enough to play the 5, but quick enough to play the 4. He's really a unique player because of that combination.

Brandon Hunter from what I heard did not go over well in the locker room. He probably got into fights with Perkins lol. He may have been one of those young guys unlike our other young guys like how most stick together and become friends but maybe Brandon was too much of a jerk for any of them.

If Brandon were any good he'd be on a roster right now.

Thats also true. He got no PT on the expansion bobcats plus they even moved him and he got little pt in Orlando also. Maybe he got lucky and played a few games but thats about it. Danny had to have seen that he was a bad influence. Maybe he knew Keeping Walter over him woulda got something and it got a 2nd rounder. Brandon Hunter may not have even got back a 2nd rounder seeing he was drafted a lte 2nd rounder as it was. Walter had senority also and Danny used that to deal him for a better pick option even though it was protected this year. If Phoenix gets worse, Danny can use it when its higher.
