I'm having a hard time gauging whether this is Pierce's last year with us. At times I feel like he's on the verge of being traded. But then I get a sense that Ainge will release Walker and Payton and hold onto Pierce for another year (or at least until the trading deadline in February) to see how much more he adjusts to the new team--see how he fits in with Jefferson being given a more prominent role on offense, see how he fits in with a new PG (possibly Jasikevicius/Ukic/Jack/Paul/Felton), see how he fits in with a lesser role, etc.
Sometimes it seems inevitable that Pierce is going to be traded when you hear all these reports from areas inside Boston as well as outside the vacinity saying the same thing about him being traded (rumors with Portland, Utah, Seattle, etc.). You can't believe everything that's being written, but when there's this many rumors flying around, chances are it all started with a source that Pierce is being shipped around.

Then again, DA has a way of making people turn their heads, after he drops the bomb.

Worth remembering that DA himself was traded. But I don't see PP going anywhere, at least right now.
