The draft is just a week away. That's 7 days. That's 168 hours. That's 10,440 minutes. And a heck of a lot more minutes than that (don't have a calculator near me, so figure it out on your own ;D).
The deadline to pull your name out is today. So far, the only notable name to be pulling out is Jarret Jack (according to DraftExpress). Rudy Fernandez could pull out if he doesn't get a guarantee from a team picking in the top 20.
Same for Nemanja Alexandrov. But here's something interesting. According to a source (this is from DraftExpress), if Nemanja stays in the draft, look for him to be taken by either Phoenix (21st), Denver (20th), Memphi (19th), or BOSTON (18th).
So Nemanja must feel confident that he'll be taken by one of us. If Ukic is taken by the Raptors at 16, I guess Alexandrov could be a big possibility to be drafted by us.

Alexandrov would be a solid pick with the 18th pick if he reaches anything close to the hype he receiving. If not he'll be the next Darko Milic. But, I still think Roko has a chance to fall to us and I would rather take Ukic because he has been playing at a high level.

Maybe DannyA can figure out a way to get both? ;D Na, just kidding. I dont like the idea of taking 2 euros in the first round. I see Roko at 18, and two experience college players in the second round picked in this years draft for us.

I am getting a little annoyed at this whole thing in the sense that I am beginning to not like the whole "wait and pray so and so falls to you". if there's a guy we want I am willing to trade up at this point. I'd give away a 2nd this year and a 2nd next (we get the extra Golden State one next year, Keep that one) and Marcus Banks to move up X spots depending on who we pick. It's like Bill Parcells says. You are exactly what your record says you are. We are going to get the 18th best guy (until they start playing and we see who the sleepers and busts are). The problem is there are only like 12 guys I want. Not all will be picked by then but I'd like to get my first choice. If we're gonna wait we may as well trade down and pray harder.

I'm sure Ainge is trying. But we are in an unusual predicament. No one wants our veterans, and our young guys are unproven so they can't fetch us much. And if we are targeting Ukic, he's a guy who's in the mid to late first round, so it'll be a waste to use Pierce in a trade just to get Ukic. We can try to use a guy like Banks, but the problem then becomes who is interested in him.

Woah woah woah. Slow down. Nobody is saying trade Pierce to get Ukic. except me cause I want to trade Pierce so bad it hurts just for cap space and if we picked up Ukic too it would be great. So never mind on second thought. Stroke the fires of Pierce rumors.

Skita is more like it if Alexandrov does become a bomb. SKita is more fit for the comparison. Only difference is picking at 18 is not like picking at 4. Its hard to say if he can be another Peja.
