We are in single digits, gentlemen. Brace yourselves cause the draft is soon upon us.
2 NBA execs said that we are interested in Roko Leni-Ukic at 18.
And it appears that the Lakers have gotten into the swing of things with Portland's pick. The Lakers own the 10th pick and may make a trade with Portland who as we all know, hold the 3rd pick. Portland, who is not interested in any of the top PG's, is interested in Gerald Green, and they think he may fall to them at 10. Green hasn't worked out for the Trail Blazers, but he is going to work out for the Lakers.
Monta Ellis has not performed well in the agility test at the camp. But neither did Al Jefferson last year, and we all know that he is as good as advertised, if not much better. Does Ainge still have an interest in this kid from Miss?
Chris Wallace is a believer in Yaroslav Korolev, as he seen him live. But there may be a promise by the Clippers (12th pick) to take him when they are on the clock.

Some day some player with a "promise" is going to slip into the 2nd round or possibly out of the draft completely and when it does I am gonna laugh all nite. Unless I like that player. Even then I might laugh a little. I suppose if that happens the player will vow "revenge". Also some day a player will vow revenge and eventually sign with the team he vowed revenge against.

So many players are given "promises" nowadays that it almost makes team have to jump the gun and offer their "promise" before any other team gives it to them. Not sure I like how things are shaping up.

Lets say that the lakers can deal the 10th to Portland with lets say George and Boston can deal Pierce to LA and we'll get the 3rd pick and Chucky Atkins back.

Pierce and Kobe on the same team? I hope Pierce knows he'd have to take a back seat to Kobe. If Kobe can kick Shaq off the team he'll have PP bringing him his water bottle. It will be up to Phil Jackson (this is the part where I caugh and make the cough sound like the word "fraud". Frough! Frough! Frough!) to get PP to feel the Sheng Fui of his office and the Tai Chi of his mind, while releasing the inner spirit of Kobe's bad karma, so that they can resurrect their souls and reach basketball Nirvana with full enlightenment,

Sources indicate the Celtics may have a promise in place with Croatian point guard Roko-Leni Ukic. And while this is still just speculation, a number of factors are beginning to point to this. GMs Danny Ainge and Carroll Dawson were both on hand less than two weeks before the draft and took a long hard look at Ukic in Treviso, and both teams could definitely use a point guard. www.celticsblog.com/ It just makes me wonder back till last year when we all thought Danny wanted R Smith and we draft Big Al , I like what i heard about Ukic......but I SMELL SMOKESCREEN! to get someone to drop? Taft...Jarret Jack, Joey Graham,Blatche? ?.....If we also sign Saras that will leave much too much in the back court unless another deal is in the works..A deal for Allen or maybe Banks with bad contract like Raef or Blounts(aka Stone Hands) I think Danny will draft BP Avialable and we all will be happywith his choice,I still think we need to get bigger inside, better rebounding, and I live charlie V I know the reports are bad but I watched alot of UCONN games..he looked good to me! I have confidence in that...I also think Pierce WILL BE HERE next year...jmho..thanks for taking the time...

Scooter, thsi could be a smokescreen by Ainge. If it is, he is doing a good job in getting people to bite. I've read that Toronto may have interest in Ukic, and they pick 2 slots higher than us at 16. Maybe he's trying to get them to bite.
Although, from the sounds of it, I would enjoy a guy like Ukic on the team.
You guys think Monta Ellis is another smokescreen ploy by Ainge? Although, we haven't heard anything about him being tied in with Ainge in any way lately, so maybe Ainge is really interested in him and is lying low to get the rumorville off his back.

Or.......what if Felton slips to 18? Maybe Danny knows about that and we dont huh? Maybe he knows Felton will go low by being an insider on things. But then again, this is a pg deep draft. Felton may not be a great pick. I would think Ukic would be better.

I'm almost certain Felton won't last past the lottery--most likely before that.

Thats good anyways. I sorta think Felton will be overrated in the nba. Kinda like a Jeff McInnis is the best he'll be at.

Maybe Ainge is trading the 2 2nd rounders to get in the 30s in order to draft Monta Ellis? I can't see how teams want to draft this kid in the first round especially after the poor performances during his workouts.

Yeah, I read that Ainge wants to move up into the early second round. Chances are that he's interested in picking up either Luther Head, Monta Ellis, Ryan Gomes (he's going to have another workout for us soon--his 4th in 2 years), or some other player under our radar.

What about Mindaugas Katalynas? Ainge should move up to get him at like 35.

Hed be a damn good pick for 50-53. His dropoff still doesn't mean he will be a bad player as seen before with players.
