Man, I never thought this day would come, but its finally just 10 days away.
Its getting exciting to think who we'll end up drafting. So many players on my wishlist, but we have only 1 draft slot this year. I've been spoiled with at least 2 first round draft picks the past 2 years (3 last year), but now we have to really make this pick count.
Could we go the big man route by taking Simien, or Taft, or Diogu, or Sean May, or Fran Vasquez? Or what about the wingmen PF's like Hakim Warrick, Charlie Villanueva, Ryan Gomes, or Andre Blatche? Or what about wing players like Danny Granger, Yaroslav Korolev, Ersan Ilyasova, Joey Graham, Fransisco Garcia, Martel Webster, or Rashad McCants? Then you have the PG's and combo guards like Monta Ellis, Luther Head, Roko Leni-Ukic, Rudy Fernandez, and Jarret Jack.
Of these 21 players I've mentioned (I've left out the consensus top players), there's a strong possibility that we draft one of these guys. Who will it be?
Or maybe Ainge will be able to make a trade to either move up or move down in the order. And if he moves up, how high? And if we move high enough, we can also include players like Paul, Felton, Green, and Wright to that list I have above.
So many players to wish for. I seriously hope I won't be disappointed on draft night.
**BTW, MANY OF YOU HAVEN'T POSTED YOUR MOCK DRAFT. PLEASE DO SO QUICKLY. IT IS A FRIENDLY COMPETITION AMOUNG THE GREENIACS TO SEE WHO IS MOST LIKELY TO BECOME A GM IN THE FUTURE.**

I'll give my Boston picks in a day or two. Never know if DA makes a player/draft move. I'm kinda holding off for that. The only GM I would want to be is a Celtics GM. Scout might be fun too. ;D You need to look into that line of business Derren. I bet you would be good at it. No crap...

Yeah, that would be a dream job for me. I like the thought of being able to go to different places around the world (or just the States) and scout talent. But the thought of being away from family for months at a time doesn't really suit my style.
Eh, but its fun being a Celtics Green scout, so I'll just settle for this job ;D

But that's even more reason to hire me as a Celtics scout, because I already have an idea (my idea, that is ;D) of what type of talent the Celtics need.

Thanks, Meltin. But that belongs on the Mock Draft thread.
I don't know about us getting Rudy Fernandez now. Word is that he'll be pulling out of the draft because he hasn't gotten a guarantee that he'll be taken in the top 20, so he'll be giving it another try next year. I think he's definitely a first round pick, sizing up the amount of draft buzz he's received. But I guess he's looking for a more lucrative contract and will be trying to get a higher draft spot next year.

My final decison if Rudy F does not come out. Roku Unic. You have 10 days to make up Danny's mind. I know I will use them all, until the bell rings draft-day.
