Hawaii's local boy is about to break Ty Detmer's NCAA's passing record in this game. We won't have a celebration like how the Bostonian's are celebrating for the Red Sox's championship, but I'm certain this will be water-cooler talk next week ;D

The men's basketball team is not bad. At best, they are a team who can make it into the NCAA tournament, but lose in the first round. But most likely a team who can make some noise in the NIT's.
But our volleyball team, both men and women, are really fun to watch. Always among the tops in the nation (women's Vball is in the top 3 currently).

We have a good team at Iowa in BBall. Top 20ish...

Derren, what is the actual percentage of hawaiians at UH? I'd watch a girls basketball game or maybe even volleyball to get a glimpse of those hawaiian hotties.

Not many, Meltin.
There aren't many Hawaiians left (meaning people with greater than 10% of Hawaiian blood actually running through them). Hawaii is a melting pot of nationalities and ethnicities. What you guys in the mainland call 'mutts', we call poi dogs. And that's what Hawaii is made up of now. Just a mixture of all different types of races from all over the world.
Going back to your question, there's only about 1 or 2 Hawaiian's on the team.

Yea so its probably like California then. Only Honolulu not being like LA. Alaskan indians still seem to be big in Alaska though.
