yes true fan should be fan through all times, but i find it to be very depressing to be a fan of, say, clippers for example The clippers have absolutely no legacy at all. The raptors are another depressing team to be a fan of. It was depressing to be a red sox fan after years and years of yankee bashings. Now that it finally happened, more people can go back to being a sox fan without the same crap every year from now on.

Make that 3. I was born in NY but lived in Miami from 74 to 78, and it was at this time that I started following sports. Since the Dolphins were the only game in town, my basketball loyalty followed my mother's, who was a Celtic admirer from back in her days of playing basketball in Argentina. It's a mixed bag, but does make life interesting. And with the state of the Dolphins, I am really hoping for a good year from the Celtics!!!
