Watching the NBA to me is a forced interest. Something I don't want to pay attention to but I still happen to anyways. Its like an obsession to check out the trade news and the scores but deep down, I'm not interested. I refer to it as an addiction that still sticks out in my mind because of the past. None of you may not think so but yes its true. I am trying not to pay attention to the sport but its very hard. I think its the celtics that are still keeping me into it. If they were not my favorite team, I wouldn't be interested in the league. This is the only thing thats a forced interest. Although I do know that I couldn't watch certain games for sht though. I hate the league, thats a fact anyways. I blame the celtics for keeping me into it this long.

It's ok. You can come join the BCAA (Boston Celtics Addicts Anonymous) with the rest of us. ;D
I think we all kinda feel the same way although I really love playing Basketball. And I am compelled to watch other teams. You must scout your opponents!

I'm a fan of the Celtics more than I am of the NBA. But I'm still a fan of the game and I'll watch whatever games I can when I've got the time to do so.
Like you mentioned Bos, about scouting. That's the reason why college basketball has become more interesting to me. I look forward to watching college ball because I want to make sure I get a good look at all the prospects who are going to be drafted.

That's why I'm not planning on doing well in our fantasy league. I just don't know enough about the other teams or players. If it's not the Celtics or a playoff game I have a hard time watching it.

And I am compelled to watch other teams. You must scout your opponents! Very funny haw haw  . Anyways, I have no idea what it is. Maybe the nostalgic history and memories of the celtics, the green and white pinwheel basketballs with birds name on them that I saw when I was a kid. All the banners from 1949. The tradition with the never changing of the uniforms. Something is keeping me into the celtics for so long. I just have no idea what it is. In the 1993-94 season, I started paying more attention to the league and mainly the celtics and marginal attention the years before that. I'm even noticing thats its easy to not pay attention when teams like the jazz and grizzlies play or the blazers and suns. I cannot be F'N bothered lol. |
