First, former Phoenix Suns head coach, Cotton Fitzsimmons past on after battling lung cancer. He was the Suns head coach before Paul Westphaul took over in the early 90's.
And secondly, Ricky Williams of the Miami Dolphins plans to retire from the NFL just 5 days before the start of training camp. This is shocking and devastating news for myself and the Dolphins. Incredible.

I know. Both very sad...... I used to like Cotton man.. That is really too bad. Im just amazed abotu Ricky Williams. He lost the drive. Too much smoking the ganja. j/k.. I always liked Ricky a lot. He really never wanted the spotlight on him I dont think and always was a classy guy.. He just was different. And a bit of an introvert. I try not to judge a guy like that, although I think a lot of the accusations surrounding him bothered him a lot.

Ricky Williams is a major talent. Guys like him don't come along every year. And he seemed to enjoy being in Miami and got his anxiety issue squared away. I guess maybe he lost the love for football.
But this is a major blow to the Miami franchise. We have absolutely no one to replace him with.

Wow so Williams just hopped on a plane and gave it all up. Good for him he should be able to enjoy himself (and not have to take a pounding by the Patriots again ). But seriously I hope he does go on and become more worldly(forget the actual quote he used) if he wants, its just kind of bad timing for the Miami fans.

Yeah, as a fan, I am a bit upset that he just decided to walk away and leave us hanging. But from a human point of view, I'm happy for him because he walked away on his own will and seems to be happy with his decision. It must be like a huge relief off of his shoulder. I'm contemplating if I should become a Patriots fan now
