For those of you who don't know. I had ACL surgery just about 6 months ago.
Today i played soccer in a pick up match for about 2 hours. First off it was so awesome to be back on the pitch after nearly a year off.
As for playing, I felt pretty good. I was a little tentative on tackles and on facing a man one on one. But It is amazing how good my knee actually feels.
And i think i will be back 100 % in another month or so, so all those who worry about ACL surgery patients returning to full strength. I would have no problem signing somebody. Granted i play in an adult league in RI, not the nba, mls, or nfl, but whatever.

That's great to hear Howl. Glad to see you are up and running close to full strength after having ACL surgery. Its truly amazing how far modern medical technologies and techniques have come. Twenty years ago, a torn ACL would have been career ending. Now, its a few hour surgery and 6 months of rehab.
Now lets hope Raef can come back from his knee surgery. Maybe you can give Raef some advice on rehabilitation, seeing how effective yours has been ;D

I know! i just need to go in for the tackle instead of playing like a puss . . . well you get the point.
I think one big difference between me and some of the nba players is that they are like 6'9" and have a ton of weight to deal with. I am 5'7" and a 150 pounds. i think it makes it easier for me to recover.
