no, i've watched all three parts tons of times. i'm just surprised you (or mainlanders to be precise) included that movie on your list.
here in hawaii, those movies are like staples. for one, pat morita (mr. miyagi) is a local guy. another thing, Pt. 2 was filmed on the east side of the island. and thirdly, we have an enormous okinawa community in hawaii (i've got okinawan blood running through my veins as well).
so karate kid is just an island favorite for us.
other favorite movies of all time are
good will hunting contact U-571 armageddon forrest gump my cousin vinny transformer the movie
those are just at the top of my head.

Good will hunting was good too.
Airborne is another good movie I liked.
On the mainland, people were fans of karate kid. You didn't know that huh? They could be huge where you live though I dont know. Where you live, I bet movies like meet the deedles are popular or movies like it. Hey I figured pat morita was in hawaii or california in real life.

its so funny for me because i can relate to the movie. one of my very first jobs was working for a music store. we weren't quite as obnoxious as they were, but being able to select the music we wanted to listen to over the PA was just so much freedom.
