Just my luck it doesn't happen a lot that i can go on a job interview, but i had an interview this morning. Now, i live in Belgium where it almost never snows due to the mild climat. Today however, there's no getting thru. My dad tried but only got as far as 300m with his car. My interview is 60km from where i live & i have to cancel it. How unlucky is that?

too bad about that, bro. i'm sure your interviewer understands your situation and i hope he/she will give you another day to reschedule the interview.
here in hawaii, it wasn't as bad as your snow storm in belgium, but we also had a major attack from mother nature. we had a thunderstorm and heavy rains. i had to leave work early because the water level was quickly climbing and if we didn't leave when we did, we would have been stuck overnight. lightnings were coming down every minute and a couple landed down close to my work place. it was dark at about 2pm and when i drove off the base i work at, the water covered over half of my car's tires.
it was pretty amazing. we don't experience this kind of thing too often and when it does, we think the world is going to end ;D

no, the interviewer didn't mind. He couldn't get to work either! ;D I just got a call from my parents, they got on the bus but it got stuck 100m further. I wished them luck. Not a day for the working people it seems..
