Doc needs to get Pierce and Rondo back in. He should have put them in earlier, actually. Pierce and Rondo back in. Starters in except Powe in for Perk. Celtics inbound with 14 on the SC. Powe is fouled inside but no call. Iguodala with a tip in of a miss. KG misses a hook shot in the lane and Sixers rebound. Iguodala draws the foul on the baseline. KG is fouled in the lane. Celtics inbound on the side. Iguodala with another steal and dunk. Celtics are playing sloppy just like they did in New Orleans. amazing how the refs "literally" helped out the sixers by kicking that steal back in so A.I. could dunk it...We just played pretty sloppy in the 4th and need to get our head out of the gutter when finishing games..disappointing loss to say the least...I put it to Doc trying to play with the lineups a bit in the 4th and trying to cut down on minutes and what not...

Sixers inbound on the side. Dalembert is fouled immediately on the inbounds catch. KG did a good job of covering the passer. Dalembert hits both FTs. Celtics inbound and Rondo quickly takes it all the way to the hoop for a layup. Celtics foul right away. Miller at the line. He hits the first and misses the second. Rondo rebounds. House misses a 3 and rebound goes out off Sixers. PP misses a 3 at the buzzer. Final score was Sixers 95 and Celtics 90. Celtics didn't play aggressively tonight except in spurts. When Sam is in the game, they seem to lose their rhythm. It is understandable since he still hasn't practiced with the team. But Doc left him in too long in the 4th.

I know this game alone is not a big deal because we still have the best record in the league and no one is likely to catch us, but I can't believe we have back-to-back horrific fourth quarters. Looking at the play-by-play, we gave up 19 consecutive points to a mediocre Philadelphia team, and got man-handled in rebounding. It seems like some games we rebound well and other games we take the night off and give up numerous offensive rebounds.
It just upsets me that coming off a loss they did not take more pride in playing at home and failed to close out a so-so 76er team. We were up by 10 or 11 early in the fourth and then STOPPED playing altogether. INEXCUSABLE in my book!!

Doc just said in the post game that he is trying to get the bench more time and experience and trying to get Sam more minutes. He wouldn't ordinarily sit all 3 stars but is doing so now to give them rest and to get the bench more minutes. I can't disagree with that because Sam really needs more time to learn this team. It seems like when he comes in the chemistry goes out the door. Sam is more of a dribble around and shoot guy than a pass first guy. But that disrupts the flow of the offense. Maybe with a practice or two he will fit in better. We gave this one away, but the refs also had a hand in it. A lot of terrible calls. Celtics shot 20 free throws and the Sixers shot 44 free throws. That is waaaaay too one sided. The Celtics were driving throughout the game and just couldn't get the calls.

Bad loss. Besides, Doc sugar coats everything.

I wonder if Wyc, Danny and Co. have sent the game film to the league?? This game was very similar to the Nuggets game when it comes to the officiating. 44 FTA for Philly?? Give me a break. We held them to 44% shooting and yet they still win by 5?? Stupid refs cost us the game yet again.

Yeah, I noticed the free throw discrepency as well. Not sure what you can do about it.
