Celtics inbound in the backcourt. House brings it up. KG's jumper goes in and out. RA with an offensive rebound. Ball deflected out of bounds. Rondo comes in for House. Celtics inbound with 13 on the SC. Rondo's runner is partially deflected and NO comes up with it. PP challenges Wells' shot and is called for the foul. He misses the first. misses the second and KG rebounds. PP has it knocked away by Wells and he takes it to the hoop and Hornets take the lead 94-93. Posey misses a 3 and Hornets rebound. pargo misses a jumper. KG rebounds. RA throws the pass behind Posey and it goes out of bounds. Hornets have their starters in. Celtics starters in . West puts it in off the glass. Hornets have a 3 point lead. RA misses a 3 and Paul rebounds. Hornets on a 15-4 run. Peja misses a 3. RA rebounds and then throws it away. Paul misses in the lane and NO rebounds. West spins and is fouled by RA and lays it in. Time out with Hornets up 98-93 and 3:53 left in the 4th

West at the line. Hits the FT. Hornets up 6. KG hits a jumper off the catch. Pierce was fouled on the play. He hits the FT. Peja hits a quick 3. Rondo runs past Paul and lays it in. West misses and KG rebounds. Rondo misses a floater in the lane. NO rebounds. Paul hits a tough 3 from the corner with the defense all over him. RA takes it to the hoop and is fouled. 2:01 left in the 4th

RA's first FT rims in and out. He hits the second. NO up 5. Wells misses. KG rebounds. Gets it ahead to Rondo who takes it strong to the hoop for a layup. Paul hits a 3. Time out with NO up 107-101 and 1:13 left in the 4th

Damn. It would have been nice to get this one and complete the sweep of this road trip. We ran out of a bit of steam at the end and got a little bit sloppy. Still a very successful trip though. We go 6-1 against the best of the west in a 7 game series and I'll take that.

A lousy 4th quarter denied us a perfect road trip. I can't complain too much because when the road trip began, I would have taken 3 out of 4, but it is disappointing to lead most of the way and have it all fall apart in the fourth quarter.
Looking at the box score, I'm not sure why Pierce and KG didn't get more shots, they seemed to have shot the ball well. Also, I think Doc should have put Rondo back in sooner in the 4th -- we hit a pretty long dry spell in the fourth.

That is why they didn't get as many shots as they usually get. With KG out, NO took it to our second string. Our bench let us down this game. Every time we were without KG or Paul, the bench allowed NO to come back. Bonzi Wells with 8 steals? We need better ball handling than that. What is going to get lost is that Rondo dominated Paul. Great game by the kid. It was still a great road trip and I fully expect to beat them next week in our house. |

Rondo dominated Paul(with the help of fouls) but Paul still did what he does best at the end of the 4th...Rondo is really coming along...Anyway, i think our offense became bland in the 4th and Doc should've probably inserted Rondo earlier but really we just lost it with sloppy play at the end..shame we were a quarter away from a perfect road trip like i predicted...
oh yeah, and kp point for FL just cause i feel like it...
