Hopefully we will adjust to what SA is doing. I think we were caught a bit off guard. They are playing completely in the paint and leaving rondo and allen wide open to shoot it.

Spurs inbound. Duncan backs down KG and hits a hook shot over him. KG is fouled by Duncan as he spins to the hoop. KG hits the first and misses the second. Spurs rebound. Horry hits a jumper from the corner. Celtics are leaving the Spurs open on the perimeter and they are making them pay. KG is blocked by Duncan. KG is doubled and kicks out to Cassell who misses a jumper. Spurs rebound. Ginobili hits a jumper over the defender. Posey is fouled by Horry as he drives baseline. He hits both FTs. Udoka misses and Baby rebounds. Cassell misses from mid court at the buzzer. Score at the end of 1 is Spurs 28 and Celtics 11.
Horrible quarter for the Celtics on both ends of the court. Defense was terrible, shooting was terrible, rebounding was terrible and energy was terrible. . they just let the Spurs do whatever they wanted.

Ginobili takes it to the hoop for a layup. PP misses as he is fouled by Vaughn. Celtics inbound on the side. PP misses a jumper as Udoka commits the foul. PP hits the first two and misses the last. Spurs rebound. Spurs miss and Baby rebounds. PP fakes the 3 and drives into the paint. He kicks out to Sam who misses a jumper. House misses a jumper. Spurs rebound. Finley misses a jumper and Baby rebounds. Time out with Spurs up 35-15 and 8:59 left in the half

PP drives to the hoop and lays it in. Ginobili misses a 3. Celtics rebound. Cassell pulls up in the lane and hits a jumper. House called for a trip on Bowen but it looked more like Bowen was doing one of his trips and slipped. Thomas misses a jumper. Cassell rebounds. Sam pulls up and hits a jumper. Time out with Spurs up 35-21 and 7:53 left in the half. Celtics are looking a little better and have pulled to within 14

Finley hits a jumper from the top of the key. Spurs with pressure in the back court as Sam brings it up. Posey called for a foul going for the rebound. Spurs inbound. Posey tips the ball away but Spurs recover. Baby called for a foul on Bowen. Baby comes outKG back in. Spurs with a miss and the rebound is tipped around and Spurs come up with it. Bowen hits a jumper on the baseline. Cassell misses but is fouled by Vaughn. Sam hits both FTs. Vaughn misses and PP rebounds. Sam pulls up and hits a jumper. KG blocks Duncan's shot. Cassell called for a travel as Bowen fouls him but no call. Spurs inbound on the side. parker takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Cassell hits a turn around jumper on the baseline and is fouled. He misses the FT. Spurs rebound. Ginobili fakes the 3 and then puts in a jumper off the glass. KG misses a layup. Gets his own rebound and is fouled by Duncan. He hits both FTs. Cassell with a block and there is a late whistle and a foul on Sam. Bowen hits the first and misses the second. PP rebounds. KG finds Posey inside and he misses He gets his own rebound and misses the put back but KG flies in for a dunk. Duncan is fouled and goes to the line. He hits both FTS. Travel called on Rondo. Ginobili misses a layup and Celtics rebound. Tony with a hand off to KG who misses a layup but is fouled. He hits both FTs. Rinley misses a jumper and KG rebounds. Cassell puts a jumper in off the glass in spite of being fouled by Ginobili with no call. Parker drives to the hoop and lays it in. Rondo quickly gets up the floor and takes it all the way to the hoop and lays it in. Time out with Spurs up 48-37 and 2:03 left in the half. My ears hurt from these announcers.

Spurs inbound on the side. Manu takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Bowen called for his third foul. KG hits both FTs. Posey with a steal. Rondo hits a floater on the baseline. Tony with a block on Manu and jump ball called. Horry and KG fighting for postion. Horry just pushed KG out of the way. Spurs win the tip. Horry misses a 3. Celtics rebound. Sam misses a 3. Spurs rebound. Manu pulls up and hits a 3. Rondo hits a floater in the lane. Spurs turn it over and Rondo misses a heave at the buzzer. Score at the half is Spurs 53 and Celtics 43
Celtics did a good job of cutting the lead in half. They have some momentum and if they keep playing like they did in the second half they have a chance to pull it out.

Sammy doing good job, we are at a good moment now, but I think we can't win this one, because I thing the Spurs will do the same thing in the 3th qarter they did in the 1st, but, there is one BUT
we will do the WHO-ston tomorrow

Someone must have forgotten to tell the Celtics that the game was starting -- only 11 pts in the 1st quarter! Thank goodness we had Cassell to give us a boost. But we need to get out on their 3 pt shooters. Better second quarter, too bad we had a chance to cut the lead to seven, but Sam missed and Manu answered with a three to make it a 12 point game. Hopefully that last shot gets Rondo going. I was hoping to be down single-digits at the half, but 10 isn't so bad. We just have to come out strong in the third quarter so we can make a game of it.

We don't deserve a team this good...They NEVER give up...Down 22 to arguably the best team in the NBA(after us  and we come back without one of our Big Three..Props to coaching staff and the players for getting their act together..I vow to never complain about the Celtics again(tho i probably will in 5 minutes)... |
