Ainge said that he isn't interested in drafting 4 rookies again like he did last year (and 2 the year before). Its not his intention to do so.
He needs to find a way to move those 2 low second rounders and get a high second round pick. If we stay put, we are picking at 50 and 53, which is basically the 20th and 23rd pick in the second round. Can't expect sleepers like Ginobli every draft. With a high second round pick, we could have a chance at Brandon Bass, or Nate Robinson, or Daniel Ewing, or some other 1st round prospect who slid. At 50 and 53, we can only expect to take a flyer on international players and stash them away overseas for a few years.

I agree. I just love Nate Robinson, but where do you think we'd use him with Delonte and Banks ruling the PG spot?

I agree that our second round picks could be packaged for a higher second rounder. However, if we could take:
Jawad Williams, Brandon Bass, Lawence Roberts, Luther Head, Julius Hodge (2 out of the bunch)
I would be estatic.

E-Mac, if we take Nate Robinson, I can see him moving passed Marcus on the depth chart. He's a better shooter and scorer than Banks, and is more of a passer than Marcus.
C17, if we stay put with our second round picks, I think we need to keep our players overseas (if we draft europeans). Give them more seasoning before before bringing them over.
RR, there could be a lot of good players sliding into the high/mid second round, like you pointed out. Lawrence Roberts could be a useful power player off the bench, but I'd take a chance on a good european prospect first before taking him.

Hey thats not a bad idea either stashing the 50 and 53rd potential euro picks to stay in europe. Then again, it can be bad if its a Sabonis case meaning it would take this pick 6-7 yrs to even make it into the nba. That also can be into concideration. But if these euro prospects with the late picks can indeed improve in 2 or 3 yrs in europe, that wouldn't be bad as long as its not 6 yrs. I mean Josip Sessar is still over there and so is Ben Pepper. I wouldn't want picks like that.
