I wonder if Perkins and Garnett are still hurt. THis is 4 games in 6 nights and this has been just a brutal road trip. I think Den, GS, and Phx all lost their next games - so it leads me to believe that the Celtics are just playing very, very badly right now.

Blazers miss and Celtics stops at the top of the arc and hits a 3. Joel misses and KG rebounds. Webster with a steal and is called for an offensive foul as he tries to drive to the hoop. PP with a bad pass and Joel gets the steal. Outlaw hits a baseline jumper. RA hits a step back 3 from the side. OUtlaw misses and KG tips the rebound to PP. PP hits an open 3 off the catch. Celtics almost get a steal but Blazers recover. Rondo called for a foul on Roy on the drive. Blazers inbound on the side. Roy doubled and he passes out to Blake who misses a 3 at the SC. Outlaw rebounds. PP called for a foul on Outlaw as he drives. Time out with Blazers up 48-40 and 2:25 left in the half.

Boston did some nice ball movement and has picked up a little on the defensive end. Give up a bad offensive rebound to Travis Outlaw. We may not be athletic enough.

Or it means that those teams gave it their ALL against us and come out with incredible energy and effort against us which then lead to them being tired and getting blown out the next game..Phx is a title contender and we only lost by 8 playing the worst i've ever seen us play, we can't be too worried/crazy... |

He hits both FTs. PP drives across the lane and drops off to Posey who lays it in. Rondo with a steal but they call him for a foul. Blazers inbound on the side. Blazers miss and KG rebounds. RA with a bounce pass inside to Rondo for a layup. KG dives on Aldridge for a loose ball and they are tangled up and the ref comes over to pull him off. Jump ball between Aldridge and KG. Blazers win the tip and Roy hits a jumper with the SC at 3. Pp has it knocked away. Roy drives to the hoop and Ray with the foul to avoid the easy layup. Roy hits both FTs. Rondo drives down the lane and lays it in and draws the foul on Blake. He hits the FT. Blake misses and Posey grabs the rebound. Celtics looking for the final shot. Rondo drives to the hoop and kicks out to Posey who misses a 3 at the buzzer. Score at the half is Portland 54 and Celtics 47

Looks a lot better to open the 2nd half. Need to keep our poise. I felt we lost our poise in Phx and lost a winnable game. Phx is not that strong. The Shaq deal appears to be a panic deal.

Got the baby in bed. Picking up with game tied at 54 and 9:50 left in the 3rd. The announcers are whining about the officiating and a bad call. KG throws the ball away. Perk and KG sandwich Aldridge and they call the foul on Perk. They showed Aldridge with some trash talk to KG as he walked by. Funny the announcers are complaining about KG's trash talk but thought Aldridge talking trash was great. He hits both FTs. KG has it knocked away and Perk comes up with it and hits a hook. Celtics with a steal and Rondo takes it all the way and is blocked by Aldridge. Jack called for an offensive foul. Rondo drives into the paint and kicks out to KG who misses an open jumper. rebound goes out off Portland. PP hits a 3 from the corner. Jack misses a jumper. PP rebounds. Rondo takes it to the hoop and misses a layup. KG flies in for the tip but is called for an offensive foul over the back. Aldridge misses and Celtics rebound RA with a wild lob pass in to KG and Blazers come away with it. Jack hits an open 3. Roy is limping as they come up the court. KG hits a baseline jumper. Aldridge is fouled by Perk on the drive. Perk's 4th foul. Celtics are in the penalty. Aldridge hits both FTs. PP drives baseline for a 2 handed dunk. Blazers turn it over. RA drives to the hoop for a layup. Time out with Celtics up 65-61 and 5:44 left in the 3rd.

Perkins has 4 fouls but Doc left him in. He did produce 4 2nd chance points. QP for Perk. Things are working out much better this half.

Aldridge hits both FTs. RA passes inside to a cutting Rondo who kickes it out to PP who hits a 3. defensive 3 second violation. He hits the T. Blazers inbound. PP draws a charge on Outlaw. Rondo drives baseline and is fouled by Jack. Celtics inbound on the side with 14 on the SC. Rondo misses a runner and Joel rebounds. Outlaw hits a tough shot over KG. PP drives baseline and lays it in. There is a lot of contact on both sides that isn't getting called. The announcers are whining about it. They just said that somebody is going to get knocked out and they hope it is Pierce. They also just said that the refs are giving star treatment to Boston and they might as well just ask for autographs. These guys are way worse than Tommy when it comes to complaining about everything. Blazers miss and Celtics rebound. KG misses and Rondo gets the rebound and is fouled by Aldridge. Time out with Celtics up 73-69 and 1:51 left in the 3rd

So funny how these announcers are calling KG and Pierce thugs and complaining about KG's trash talk but when Aldridge does the same it is a great move. Rondo hits the first. They just said that Baby (who came in for KG) weighs 460 pounds. Rondo hits the second. Aldridge misses a jumper over Baby and Rondo grabs the rebound. PP hits a jumper. Double lane violation and another jump ball called. Blazers win the tip. Webster misses and Posey grabs the rebound and is mugged and lands the floor. The announcers are complaining that they didn't call the travel on Posey. Posey calls a time out to save the possession. Celtics inbound with 15 seconds in the third. Rondo drives down the lane and hits a runner to end the quarter. Score at the end of 3 is Celtics 79 and Blazers 71

Rondo is terrific. Pierce is en fuego. Perk with the nice hustle. Ray is hitting his shots.

Q at the turn - Nice third qtr run as the Celtics put all three phases of their game together. But there is still a qtr to be played.
